Hey, does anyone else have issues with the system saying your signature is too long, even though it is under the max 40 lines??? Driving me CRAZY!!!
Hey people i just call NVC, Franck told me that there is no interview date yet for me but that does not mean there is no more date available. i felt so happy, there is hope, i will continue praying!!!
That's great Rujby... Keep hope alive!

Uh-oh... you've been waiting for a MONTH for your interview date???
-
Morning to April NVC-ers! Again, so happy for all of you with CCs who are finally getting your interview dates!
So here's what's been happening with our case. I'll be attempting to update my signature pretty soon.
- Paid the IV bill last Tuesday, and that puppy was showing as 'In Process' for DAYS!!!
- Finally, on Friday evening, an operator told us that he could SEE in the system that we had paid, even though the payment portal was still not updated to 'PAID'
...So hubby took a calculated risk and mailed out the DS-230 packet on Saturday. It was delivered on Monday... and my heart was in my mouth, because the portal was still showing... you guessed it... "IN PROCESS"
Well we all know now that NVC has been in a FLURRY of action since yesterday. So yesterday morning the status finally showed up as 'PAID'... but they had not yet received my packet.
This morning, when I called and asked about whether they had received it, Operator Nicky said "It's still under review ma'am (sternly) you have to give us 20 business days!"
Me: "So you mean that my DS-230 packet was received and is now under review?"
Operator Nicky: "Yes ma'am and you have to give us 20 business days."
... Calling them tonight. Operator Nicky should be home then
So I'm off now to go FIGHT with the timeline in my signature... ===>

ok so husband called lastnight and we got case complete, but do we get an official email or anything to say that it is officially completed?
Congratulations!!! Forward march! And the advice I've seen from Saylin and this thread is: call the DOS as well as the NVC, for your interview date. Blessings!

Happy Saturday to all!
So here's what's been happening: we paid the IV fee online on TUESDAY. $$$ taken from account on WEDNESDAY. IV checklist emailed to hubby and I on FRIDAY. IV Fee payment status still showing as 'IN PROCESS'. Hubby called NVC last night, 15 minutes to midnight. A very nice agent (oops, forgotten his name) told hubby:
(a) ignore the checklist
(b) IV payment has been received, the system is just still 'chewing' on it (???)
© AOS reviewed and accepted
(d) We're on our way and "it's all good".
Just surprised that it's taking so long for the system to show the IV fee as PAID, even though an agent can SEE that it's been paid. At the same time, very happy and excited that the end of the NVC journey is looming larger and larger in view!

Yes, I am SO grateful for that site I found. Saved so much money for the pictures for the IV package, medical, and interview. Just wish I had heard of it for my I-130 petition before spending $30
And the bigger benefit than saving money, in my opinion, is that you can keep taking pictures until you're satisfied. I took probably at least 10 for my interview ones as I knew that was going on my green card, and I wanted it to look good And then I discover, on my green card, the picture is in black & white, not color. I don't see my pretty pink hair on it
Yeah, but just consider this a preparation period. Have everything filled out and signed, scanned, and uploaded into a PDF format (if doing EP). Go over the DS-260 screenshots and make sure you have all information needed.
Like others and myself say, once you get the case number, it typically goes very fast up until everything is submitted.
What photo site is this please? (trying to mine through all these fast-growing pages of posts in this thread lol!)

Morning everyone. I've been pretty busy for the past few days and I'll be away for work this weekend. HOW does this forum add over 30 PAGES of posts in 2 days???!!!
Anyways, GREAT weekend to everyone. May we all move at least ONE step further in this NVC journey and have HAPPY reports this evening! As for me, our AOS was reviewed AND ACCEPTED (Yay) but our IV payment status is still showing 'Processing'... even though the $$$ left the account on Wednesday. But... we wait patiently (while calling everyday lol).
Blessings to all!

For K1 VISA only DS230 part 1 should be sent, remember that K1 is classed as a non-immigrant visa.
Thanks for this correction! I didn't realize that OP is a K1 applicant.

Good morning everyone! I'll be away from the board for a while, so in the meantime... while you PILE on the pages in this thread ... I pray that you all will get case numbers, invoice numbers, AOS & IV invoices, case closed notifications, and interview dates! The Lord bless you all and see you later!

You must escape into Canada and have this gastrinomical delight. It's amazing. You'll turn, I swear - it's highly addictive.
Hmmm... I may do just that... But what is it that you're all saying about its... uhm... gas-liberating properties?
-
Oh wow agreed!!!
You, dear lady, are awesome
Aw shucks

LOL...ewwwww...that's a lot of poutine! Is there such a thing as too much poutine?
OK, so I gave in to my curiosity and Googled "poutine". For all the other non-Canadians|non-poutine-savvy persons in this thread, here's a very informative link: What is Poutine? A Poutine Primer (Hold the applause, please. I do my best to serve mankind )

That's, what, page 342 of the Kama Sutra ??? [orgy of impatience]

Thank you all. I hope everything else is quick as hubby is still out of commission and I need to work. I didn't apply for an EAD because everything happened so quick. One minute I was here for a visit the next hubby had to do surgery. Thank God USCIS allowed me to AOS and I didn't have to go back home.
Thank God for that. I pray everything goes well for you both.

Hello Good folks at VJ! *shshhhh
Let me do My Dance First !
Now time for the Good News:star: Got my CC today!
Yup from Case# 3/8/12 to CC 4/3/12, that's 27 days, and thats 27 days with 2 Checklists. It's just like what Saylin always says, You Gotta Be On Top of it with NVC, like a Fly on a...... ummmm well that part i added but you get my point.
Just want to say Thank you to Saylin and to everybody else for their time spent answering my endless questions.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! YAYYYY!!!!!!! (Sorry I had to delete all the emoticons... system said there were too many!!!)
Saylin, please update the spreadsheet that I mailed my IV packet yesterday 4/2/2012. I also got a check list email in the afternoon, but that was just asking for the IV packet.
Just dodged a few tornadoes here in North Texas, and more are on the way. We had to go to the stairwell for safety 3 times over the last 1 and 1/2 hours. I am afraid to go see how my car looks like after all the hail that passed through.
So glad you're safe. The footage I saw on CNN was... amazing, to say the least...
Got...and paid...MY AOS INVOICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Saylin...turns out it was my name causing the issues, my file now reflects the last name Lowman )
Yay!!!!! Finally!!!
-
Hooray! Don't be ashamed - be VERY HAPPY!!!!
Whew. OK, thanks. It's official. I'm HAPPY!!!!!!!!!
LOL that's how it happened to me. I was getting so frustrated and then happened to check my email! I got both the AOS and IV invoices about 5/6pm-ish.
Isn't life like that sometimes? Like God is saying "See? I TOLD you so!!!"
Grats! Hope you've paid it already
Yes ma'am, hubby paid it... he doesn't want me away from him 1 second longer than necessary!
Great if you send it right away you can have a case complete next week!!!
That would be SOOOOO wonderful... that's my next prayer!
-
So... after my orgy of impatience today, I'm almost ashamed to report that our IV fee bill was generated. Wow. I'm very thankful. Wow.
-
It is frustrating. At first we cried a lot, then we started debating him just moving here, then we sat down and talked/prayed with his parents and all of us left with a very real sense that I need to be there. Now, we're taking action. the poor congressman won't know what hit them LOL...
LOL for real. This process has done WONDERS for my prayer life!
-
hhahaha ya I know the feeling. Last Friday NVC and I were rolling along. It seemed like a week until Monday! Finally Monday evening I got the IV bill. Now it seems like an eternity until it shows paid!
Poor Shell staring at a SIF for two weeks. My heart breaks for her.
Wow... SIF for 2 weeks must be SO frustrating... I pray she gets 'released' soon!
Imagine if that you guys Im on the third week of waiting for an interview date... I flew pretty quick thru NVC and now this wait is the hardest....so close yet so far! this is exactly when i understood the famous saying" its better to look at the glass half filled rather than half empty"
You're right about that... Perspective makes all the difference. Alright, I'm back to being PATIENT again... thanks guys!
