SO I got an email this evening:

"Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On January 12, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number XXXXXXXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us..."

...Which is great, since my 2nd bio appointment was for tomorrow! Now I don't have to miss hours from work!

I'm thankful. Next up: citizenship. For everyone still waiting and/or plowing through RFEs... hang in there... this too shall pass!

Hey guys. On Monday (1/5/2015) I received my 2nd bio letter, scheduled for next week Tuesday the 13th. Of course I'm gonna go. I tried tracking the case with the new case number on this notice... got the result "case not found". Let's see what happens after my 2nd bio appointment.

My wife's I-751 was approved December 18. Our file was transferred to from VSC to CSC December 1 and then to our local office (Fairfax, VA).

Our four-year visa journey is finally at an end.

Islandlady, just curious: You and I are the only 7/1 biometrics dates so far. Did you pay with Money order or means other than check? Just hazarding a guess as to why we got such early dates. Could be irrelevant.

I'm still curious about what makes one's biometrics current. Since my POE in 2012, I've made short trips out of the country several times. They ALWAYS take my fingerprints when I return. My most recent trip was 2 weekends ago. Today I received a letter with my biometrics appointment. Hmmmm.

I just got my appointment notice today! Interestingly I AM required to do biometrics, even though I have travelled in and out of the country several times since POE AND given my fingerprint etc. whenever re-entering.

Before that, USPS Priority Mail had me worried. My package was scheduled to be delivered on Saturday May 31. So here's what happened:

• Saturday May 31 AM: arrived at local post office. Delivery due date - Monday June 2.
• Monday June 2 AM: out for delivery.
• Monday June 2 PM: "Delivery status not updated". WTH!!!!!!
• Tuesday June 3 AM: Packaged delivered SATURDAY 3 PM. WTH!!!!! Why is the USPS messing with my blood pressure???!!!!!

I received a call today from the U.S. EMBASSY informing us that we need a Co-sponsor, so my question is; can i take the Co-sponsor I-864 forms and supporting documents on the day of the interview? which is schedule month,or do i need to sent them in to the embassy befor the interview date?

You could do what I did when I was told I needed a co-sponsor: get the co-sponsor paperwork, scan it, and attach it to an email which you will send to the embassy. Make sure to reference your case number in the subject line of the email eg: 2nd Inquiry Case Number Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial (Co-Sponsor Documents Attached)

In the body of the email explain that you have the co-sponsor documents as requested in the telephone call you received from the embassy, and that you will be taking the original documents with you to the interview. Send the email to KingstonIVAppointment@state.gov.

Then be sure to take the docs with you to your embassy appointment and submit them during the document intake process before the interview.

Hello. Just send an email to KingstonIV@state.gov . Include your case number and the name and just simply ask for the appointment date. They will let you know the date and may attach the actual letter. Good luck!

Does it work that way for IR1/CR1 cases, or just for K1 visas? I thought that for the IR1/CR1, the appointment scheduling happens through the NVC, without the applicant emailing the embassy...?

Does anyone (preferrably people dealing with the Jamaican consulate)Know how long the nvc takes to get an appointment date sent out? how has the time frame been for the last 3 months to now? i am really hoping to have atleast a late august, first or second week of september interview for my husband. Does anyone think they would go over into october or would that be way too late for them to assign one seeing that they finished my case last week?

I think the NVC has been taking about 2 weeks to 1 month to assign interview dates for Jamaican applicants. VERY generally speaking the interview dates for the Kingston embassy have been roughly 2 months from the 'case complete' date at NVC. My case was complete in mid-April and I got a late June interview. In your case I think a September interview is a realistic expectation. On the other hand you have to be open because you're gonna get the date you're gonna get, you know what I mean? You should probably search through the Jamaican portal and look at the timelines of IR1/CR1 applicants with interview dates assigned.

All the best and I hope your husband's interview gets assigned real soon. The waiting can be the worst part; just encourage him to take the time to be prepared for the upcoming steps.

I met my fiance in the USA for the first time, he came here on a tourist visa an lives in Jamaica ,we plan to get marry some time next year,question is when we marry an start the process for the CR -1 visa will he still be able to visit me in the USA? thanks In Advance.

I had a B1/B2 visa when my husband and I got married in the USA. I was able to travel back and forth between Jamaica and the USA the whole time that the CR1 was in process, and I never encountered any problems whatsoever. As long as his B1/B2 is current and he has a good travel record - meaning that he's never overstayed in the USA - he really shouldn't have an issue.

This chapter of my visa journey is done. Last night I POE'd in Ft. Lauderdale with my hubby, who had made the trip to Jamaica with me to be there for the interview. I'm so thankful to God, to hubby, and to VJ. This journey has been VERY eventful, but God's hand has been in it through the ups and downs. I'm starting a new life with my beloved now and I'm SO grateful that we're able to live together... Skype and Magic Jack are gonna miss us BIG time!!!

My co-worker got a blue sheet and it wasn't a refusal, I was a request for more evidence. The sheet has many different options. As far as I know the white sheet is what you get for refusal. I saw that when I was there, a lady got a white sheet and was told that her file would be sent back and the application denied, she wasn't being honest. The yellow sheet has the same options as the blue sheet, i saw mostly kids getting that one though. Don't think the sheets are refusals at all though, they just need something from you when you get that sheet.

Thanks kelad! Sounds as though the blue and yellow sheets are very similar. I got a yellow sheet asking for AOS from Joint Sponsor. All the other options on that sheet seem to be related to sponsor/income/citizenship proof/ marriage documentation.

To the Jamaicans who have been through the US embassy process recently... does anyone know what difference is there, if any, between the BLUE refusal sheet and the YELLOW sheet? As far as I know they're both asking for more information before processing the petition further; does anyone know anything else?
