Oh that's great news, thank you for your replies!
Since it won't matter then, can I also send the I-130 package as well? Or that might not be acceptable since my US spouse needs to "invite" me and the money order needs to be drafted at a US institution, etc?
I'd rather send everything by myself (a bit of a control freak), but I don't wanna push the envelope too much.I'm afraid they might return everything back and that will just add to the already huge amount of waiting/processing,not to mention it might hurt my case for whatever reason these people can think of :/

Hi.
I was wondering, if anything happens, for whatever reason, and my spouse who is the petitioner and lives in the US (US citizen)is not able to send the I-864 form and supporting documents in time or at all, does it matter if I mail the form and documents? All the necessary forms signed by my spouse beforehand of course and sent to me.
I am currently outside the US living in my home country and I was wondering if it makes a difference since the envelope might have my name and (foreign) address on it in case my spouse cannot send it for whatever reason. Anything can happen at any given time and I'd like to be prepared and not leave anything to chance.
Thank you!
Can the beneficiary send the I-864 packet?
