Every time Caesar shows people a picture of Maria I half-expect someone to say “wait a minute! That’s my girlfriend/my brother’s girlfriend!” Or when they show her on TV thousands of men across the world are wondering why Caesar has pictures of their “true love” on his phone. 
 
We can tell they will never meet in person. Otherwise they would have shown clips of her. The only time they haven’t shown clips of the person before the meeting (getting ready, etc) was Marta the stripper’s fella whom she never met in person.

TLC is taking it a bit far with some of these "storylines."  I mean, we all know some of it is scripted, but Caesar's story is just too much.  Him sending her $2,000 to buy her own ticket with no real reason (I think he just said "I trust her" or something like that?) was just too over the top ridiculous.
In the first few seasons there used to be some (not all) real couples on the show, now it is just all train wreck city.

Caesar was allegedly not really with Maria during the show.  They used to date, but was not together at the time of filming.  I think someone else mentioned that in an earlier post in this topic.

I had my oath ceremony on Friday!  It was not as formal as I expected and everyone was very friendly and accommodating (we had to take our one year old with us...).  It was a great experience.  So glad this journey is over now, time to apply for my passport!  Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Received interview letter yesterday, scheduled for April 8!  Was very surprised, especially after receiving the "we are still reviewing your case" email yesterday morning.  I guess I should start studying for the test, yikes.

I have used DocAssist in the past to get my birth certificate from SA.  They also do police clearance.  They were super helpful when I worked through them!  http://www.docassist.co.za/police-clearances/  I hope this helps.

I got the update this morning that my card is being produced!!  When I received the email and tried to log in, I could not even remember my password I was too pumped.  Yay! 
See my signature for info about dates, but it basically took 482 days from them receiving my case to approval.

I had the exact same thought.  Same stories, different people.  It's getting a little old. 
Also, TLC is still promoting it as if you have 90 days to make a decision if you want to get married.  No, when you proposed, you made that decision!  

Exactly!  The show is definitely putting the K1 process in a bad light to those who do not know any better.  But hey, it is entertaining to watch nonetheless!

So wait.  First you apply for a tourist visa and want to be a tourist?  That fails so you apply for a student visa for pre-nursing?  Then you say they denied that so perhaps you should apply for a student visa with a engineering program.  Sounds like visa shopping to me.  Don't think you're gonna have any luck.

I'm not so stressed out about it this time around.  I now know it can take a long time for anything to happen, so my attitude at this point is "it is what it is."  Still sucks to wait so long, but...it is what it is  
 

The people that make it so difficult for your SIL to visit are other Filipinos. Enforcement within the US has no impact on her case...it won't help her her overcome 214b. Removing every illegal person in the US would not make any difference in her ability to get a tourist visa.
 
Romney and "bleeding hearts" have no impact in your case. If you want to discuss politics, then I suggest doing so in the "US Immigration News and Discussion" or "General Immigration-Related Discussion" forums.

Deporting the illegals (can of worms on how to do so even if it somehow got political support...) wouldn't impact your SIL's case. "Giving away citizenship" wouldn't either (albeit so-called "anchor babies" make up an extremely small percentage of new USCs nowadays). The issue in your SIL's case is others who have abused the tourist visa system plus, IMHO, the relative ease of opportunity to adjusting status once in the US.

It depends on the state you get married.  I did not have the option of  which last name I wanted on my marriage certificate in the state I got married.  My maiden name is on my marriage certificate.  My green card, social security, and driver license have my married name.  I had to show my green card to get my social, social to get my driver license.
