  1. According to the latest visa bulletin, the current priority date is May 2014. So he probably has to wait about a year until there is a visa available. Once that happens, NVC will send a welcome letter and ask for all fees and documents.

Thanks I did check the Visa Bulletin this morning. I just was not sure how the NVC process worked after the approval.

so in this case it is wait till the PD becomes available then do the paperwork.

    -Thanks Alot

    Interview

I reached my appointment a little late as I always get lost in the city maybe 9:15 for my 9 am appointment. I actually was so calm due to all the rushing and being lost my mind was not occupied and over processing. It was okay that I was late as they were still a lot of interviewees still in the lobby with earlier appointment times, waiting to be called. After maybe 10 mins of waiting I got called in. My Officer was very relaxed, I was even telling him how I got lost and how I always got lost in the city. He swore me in and then asked for my passport, DL & greencard. He questioned me about my DL a little because I have an out of state DL with my current address on it. I told him this is how the DMV gave it to me when I did change of address. Then he asked me if I am ready and I said as ready as I will ever be. I actually did the writing part 1st- Citizens can Vote, then Read- Who can vote.

The questions followed which I don't remember all 6 but here goes

    What is the highest court.

Who was brought to American as slaves

    Who is the VP now

Why did he colonist fight the british

and 2 others ....I got all right, then we went over the application. He made a couple corrections, as I made errors on the form and then paper came printing, he asked me to verify my name and DOB and sign and said this is what would be on my certificate. Then he handed me a paper that said I had been approved and he followed me to the exit.

By 10 am I was out the building, on my way home. He also did not ask me for any additional information. The entire interview seemed like a conversation and very relaxed. Now to just patiently wait for the Oath ceremony, which I forgot to ask when would the next one would be.

    Hope this helps...Almost over

  3. Just a quick update...its just for FYI purposes as I have not added my information to this board. Did receive bio letter after all on Saturday. It was dated for 05.22.15 but I would be travelling out of state, so I decided to go this morning with my printed itinerary. They didn't even ask one question, to be honest because they were busy I don't even think they noticed. Got there at 8:30 left by 9:30. I was #43 at this time and they open at 8:00 am. My local office is Boston as well. Hope this helps somebody.

  4. I feel ur urgency. I have no idea why they become slow. All I know they got slower after Easter. I think they are extending their holiday & not working on our applications. :( They don't even want to cash our checks!!! (They don't like money!!!)

Lol.... I am thinking the same thing re: our checks saying they don't even want it. I expected my check to be cashed like a day or 2 after package arrived, but they don't want to take our money. Driving me nuts.
