If she was there to talk about it, maybe. But he did talk about it with her, and her response was she'd think about counselling and left the home again, I'd guess at the bf's place. This is exactly the time he should quit worrying about the emotions of if and go forward to protect his butt. His wife has obviously checked out of the marriage emotionally or she would have been broken up about getting caught.

Now, yes. In 2012-2013 for CSC K1 filers, not really. But I see it was before your time.

Bayareaguy got a reaction from Newsha in My Congressman did/did not/maybe helped me get an NOA2
For those that are currently waiting on their K-1 I-129F to be processed, and have contacted your congressman's and/or senator's office about your case, I would like to have a list that names the congressman/senator and whether they helped get your case processed or not, or "maybe".
This would be a valuable resource for others in contacting their representative, to see which ones (if any) in the district/state they lived have been helpful. This information is presently scattered in miscellaneous posts, so is hard to track down specific cases.
First off, if you aren't sure how to get started in finding or contacting your representative, see this informative post by I&B: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/421608-a-guide-to-writing-your-elected-representatives-about-the-i-129f-slowdown-at-the-csc/
I would also like to have your response qualified, especially if is unclear if they really helped (the "maybe" helped situation).
For example, I contacted my congressional representative Mike Honda's office about my case, filled out the privacy release form, and explained my case and the situation at the CSC. They made an inqirery about my case, but I got a response back about a week later with the July 18 date of cases CSC is working on (oh, really?). So for me, my representative did not help me, as I am still waiting for my NOA2.
And let's say (hypothetically), my NOA2 came this week, and my congressman alerted me that my file was now being processed, if there are also others near my date that get NOA2's around the same time, I would also put this in the "did not help" category, as he is just trying to get credit for it, but I can see that CSC is processing cases in my batch, so nice try Charley, but no. If mine was the only one near my date to get approved in a few days, then it would be a "Maybe helped", with the explanation.
If you are still waiting on a response, I would hold off until you get an answer from your representative.
Also, I would not let the fact that a representative was not helpful to someone else discourage you from contacting them, but the list may help you to target your action to the more helpful ones first (you have 2 senators and one congressman, I would focus first on the ones that have helped others get their NOA2)
So, to kick it off, here is my input:
Congressman Mike Honda (California): Did not help. Release form submitted, response was CSC is currently processing cases at or before July 18. No NOA2 yet.

You, sir, are the one who quoted scripture in response to the OP. It wasn't relevant nor necessary to the topic at hand.
And I'm not an atheist, BTW.
You are bringing attention to your heterosexual-ness, and trying to justify it by quoting scripture. Right or wrong (in your opinion, according to your faith), folks have the same right to be gay as you and I do to be "straight".
I'll gladly continue the discussion via PM or if you start another thread, but let's not sully this thread, eh?

I would have to disagree with you. Many people on this board are very strict when it comes to following the rules of immigration. Most if not everybody here does not like it when people take advantage of the system because it has a negative effect on people doing the process the right way such as getting kicked back further in line.

Bayareaguy reacted to Travelpro in Buying fiance's ticket with airline miles
I have been flying to the Philippines for years exclusively on AAdvantage miles. It seems you know well to keep calling. No seats are available one minute then open up later the same day. I can also tell for with certainty that award seats open up a few days before departure. Lets say you want to depart Manila on the 15th of the month but your ticket is for the 20th. Start calling multiple times p/day the week before your idea; departure (in this case around the 8th). You have a very good chance to change the flight 1-2 days prior to your ideal departure date. BUT as you pointed out, you need to be in Manila to exchange the ticket. Also being that you need 3 seats, make it more difficult.
You may already know but you can also change the airline. Say your ticket is on Cathay and a better schedule on JAL opens up. No problem to switch.

If nothing else, there needs to be a same-sex forum to post all the information specifically addressing same-sex marriage coming out of DOS. It's currently being posted under General and is hard to find without doing a Google search. I think it's clear that there is a group of specific directives coming out that would best be grouped under a Same-sex marriage forum. And besides that there is a very unique situation in the same-sex community that are now allowed to petition for their spouse after being together or being separated for years or decades. Can you imagine as an opposite sex couple that the US government had said to you years or decades ago that you would not be able to petition for immigration for the person you love and want to marry until June 26, 2013, except we didn't even have the benefit of knowing if this would happen in our lifetime. This has created a tremendous hardship for same-sex binational couples and has required some to be very creative. There are an estimated 36000 same-sex binational couples in the US, many of whom have faced deportation because they either overstayed their visa or entered the US illegally to be together. I know of several couples who decided to move to the foreign national's country rather than stay in the US. Some even immigrated to Canada to be able to live together in a country that did not discriminate. So, now many of these couples will be returning to the US with histories and stories very distinct from opposite-sex couples. For example: Did your sister ever marry your partner so that he could come to the US to live with you? Did you ever apply for a student or tourist visa to be able to be with the one you love and want to marry because you couldn't apply for a fiancé visa? There are a lot of issues that same-sex couples are going to have to explain to immigration that has never come up in an opposite sex case. There needs to be a forum to discuss these very unique situations.
