  1. Sorry I am new at this and need help. I met a woman in Jamaica while on vacation in 2009. I spent the rest of my vacation with her and then came back a month later for her birthday. In June 2009 we filed for a simple visitors visa for her and she was denied on the basis on one question about a person she does not know. Now, after both of us giving up and dating other people realize there is only one person for us. We have rekindled and yet never lost touch with each other and want to be together.

People have told me to come to Jamaica and marry her and that it's easier to get her here in the US than to try and bring her her and marry her in the US. Any opinions? Please help.

It could go either way. But you will have to go and see her again to be within the 2 years of filing. Good luck

  2. It just goes to show that in some circumstances, it STILL is a man's world. It's ok for a 50 year old man to marry a 22 year old woman and everyone give him a pat on the back. But when a woman does it,the thinking is that she is being used and he just needs a meal ticket. I wish people would just open their eyes and realize love comes in all shapes, sizes, and ages.

  3. I'm just really disgusted! How is it that we live in the greatest country in the world with all of our modern technology, but VSC and USCIS can't complete a background check on me in 8 months? I know they get a lot of people trying to get here, but I'm not even out the gate yet. In the meantime I'm praying to God that nothing happens to my fiance because on March 25 the elections will be going on in Senegal again. The last time which was February 25, people were rioting and some were killed. I had prayed he would be here already, as some that have the same noa1 as I do are already here. I dont understand this. I want to see him, but I have to wait until next month to go because hopefully by then all the election hoopla will be over.

  4. Im getting really worn out! :help: I was trying to wait for the interview to see my fiance, but I dont think I can wait that long. If I dont hear something by the end of this week Im booking a flight to Senegal for next month. I cant afford to go twice, but I havnt seen him since March 3, 2011. This is driving me nuts. Im losing sleep, gaining weight, hair falling out. So I think a vacation and some warm hugs are in the near future for me. I will put it in God's hands about how I will make 2 trips this year. God bless you all.

  5. Peopl should be sensitive to others on here. We understand its a new country, but its hard when you see other people get an approval that have been waiting half as long. Yes I got an rfe, but it was for something from 12 yrs ago that I was told by my lawyer to write an explanation and send it in. This was before VJ. My prayers go out to everyone that is still waiting
