    Finally got a response from my congressman stating that my file was on an agents desk and to expect a response by mail withing 30 days.... this is insane, more than 7 months out now at VSC.....

      I am so glad to see it was finally approved! Looks like we may be getting case closed at NVC around the same time, although I think you may have actually started before me with the fiance visa stuff...Congratulations on FINALLY getting the NOA2!

      The only thing I'm worried about is having my boarding passes in my married name (because my bank card reflects my married name) and my passport is in my maiden name. But it has the valid visa in it???? Question for the forum? I swear I stay on that thing asking questions!

      @Dana and Divine...I faced that too before I changed mine and was told as long as I carried my marriage certificate it would be ok, but best to double check with the airlines and immigration.

    just a day from now....I will be on a direct flight from JFK to Lagosto see my man....its been a long time coming and hoping for great outcomes Thursday morning.....would love to bring him home with me......

    i will never use continental again. It was a disaster, I used Arik air the last two times I went direct flight from JFK with no problems.. I am flying out Monday night with them direct flight 10.5 hours..... good luck with your continental flight.......

    I will be flying out Monday from JFK, with Arik, not dealing with Continental again...smiles, so yes I will be there with him....My job is very understanding and gave me the requested two weeks off.

      You may want to take a little extra money. The gov't ended the fuel subsidy which could mean higher prices for everything else.

    Plane ticket purchased, visa applied for, visa application sent to TravelDocs for quick turn around due to the holidays, cost an extra $95 but having used them before, well worth the money especially with the Christmas and New Years holiday coming up.....I will see you soon Love...and you better be at the airport waiting for me......!!!!

    Trying to make the arrangements and flight info to head to Nigeria for his interview in January....Flights are expensive at that time...and hoping I can get the visa to visit in time and the time off work. So much to do, so little time

      Is there a major difference between the direct flight and the stop-overs? Can you guys give me an hint on cheap flight from Lagos?

      there is a great deal of time difference. Flying with a stop over from JFK there is a layover in Texas for a couple of hours, then direct to Lagos from there, it is 19 hours, a direct flight from JFK is only 10 hours, but there is a $800 difference for round trip
