Anybody who can share information on what are the possible questions does the consul ask on minor children ( ages 15 & 16 ) during their interview at the US Embassy Manila?
    Thanks!

My children is now here and they had their interview just around June of this year. While your child is young, she may not be asked too much. According to my children, the following questions were asked during the interview. their name, birthday, age, what grade or year level were they are at school, who their petitioner, how were they related to the petitioner, how do they communicate to us here in the US and how often, when did we last visited them, if they know where they will be living in the US, if they are excited to live in the US. My mom was asked too> why the children did not follow me ( mom ) right away in the US. How was she related to the petitioner. They consul also asked to see some pictures of us and the children during our visit.
I made them bring (just to be prepared our latest ITR, his employment letter - since when they got interview, we recently moved to a new state and my husband - their step dad and petitioner just accepted a new job, and latest pay stub> this was checked by the consul)
Also, they brought with them their Live birth Certificate ( NSO ) > this was asked
Additional but not asked ( just being prepared)
    - our marriage certificate
    -Annulment and divorce paper
    - some valid photo ID ( state ID)
    Goodluck to your child's interview

All minor children no matter where they live are counted in the household count. Your husband's count will include both children.

Uh Oh started it again huh.
Well I could say some of those same things about plenty of other countries around the world. You are generalizing, stereotyping, and lumping every Amercian into the same category. You are very wrong. I know plenty of hardworking, dedicated, never been on government assistance, caring individuals that fight everyday for what they believe in. Government assistance was put in place to help those in need, there may be abusers to the system, but the benefits outway the bad.
As far as #6, yes we are patriotic and anyone who chooses to put their safety and life in jeopardy to fight for others is a hero all day in my book.
    So here are your options:
    1. Leave and go back to your country if you don't like it here.
    2. Do something about it. Instead of making these whining posts go out and do something actively to improve the situation
    Peace

    Just an add on:
After visa is issued> 1. They minor will have to get a CFO Sticker. To do that, they need to attend Peer counselling. Exception: For children 12 years old and below are exempted from attending the PDOS. They must, however, be registered, even if by proxy. The following additional documents are required if the proxy is not the legal/natural/adoptive parent of the registrant.

Original and photocopy of one(1) of valid identification card with photograph of the proxy Special Power of Attorney authenticated by Diplomatic Post if parent/s/ or guardian/s are based overseas; or a duly notarized authorization letter executed by parent/s or guardian/s while in the Philippines. Other documents that may be required by the registration officers. 2. Pay the Immigrant fee ( $165 for each applicant )

    3. DSWD clearance, if applicable.

the K-2 follow to join had an eligibility to apply for that K-2 visa within a year past 2011-04-14 (from your K-1 visa interview date).
Since you missed it, it's possible that your uscitizen husband (is he still around, you two still married?) can file an I-130 petition, to chase an IR-2 visa for your child. Figure about a year on the I-130 at USCIS, NVC doc take for the IR-2 visa application, an interview in Manila IV. Might be less if petitions for the PI are still being expedited.
I would suggest you not be the petitioner unless you are a USA Citizen, it's a long slog..

Yes, 2 weeks is fine. But like others have said don't go on a Thurs or Fri as they will not do an exam on young minor children. It takes three days before the can read the results of the TB skin test. Mon, Tues or Wed is fine.

They are not going to ask her too many questions. They will be simple (what is your name, who is with you today, who is your mother/stepfather, where do they live etc.) and most K2's who come before the CO are approved, of course as long as your paperwork is in order and truthful.
Authorization letter depends if they will be traveling alone or with someone. If traveling alone they need paperwork from DSW if family member like your husband then no authorization is needed but ID's and other documents are needed.
This topic was just discussed so more information can be found on this thread http://www.visajourn...p-son-petition/
Traveling with Children. All children, including infants, must have their own passport or Trusted Traveler Program for U.S. entry. Carry documents for traveling with minor children.
    • If you are escorting a minor child without the parents, have a letter from both parents indicating that you have permission to travel with the minor.
    • If the child is accompanied by only one parent, the parent should have a note from the child's other parent. For example, "I acknowledge that my wife/ husband is traveling out of the country with my son/ daughter. He/She/ has my permission to do so."
If a single parent has sole custody, a copy of the court custody document can replace a letter from the other parent.
NP. Good luck. Just a little more information:

They also asked my sister, why my daughter was left behind? ( she accompanied my daughter on her interview )

As a child he can't have that proof. All he can prove is he will return to the Philippines. Just take the chance. Wala naman mawawala. At least you've explored all possibilities before filing the i130. No regrets, no "what if"s.

That's good info. My fiancée completed dot at slec. There are no shortcuts or work arounds to do treatment anywhere other than at slec.
I sat down with a slec pulmonary doctor one time and he explained to me that these "in province" treatments don't always provide the compete dosing and monthly testing standard that slec is required to do. In short, slec can choose to disregard outside completed treatment and bring the person right into their 8-9 month tb testing and treatment program at slec.
Better to follow slec's treatment and get'r done.

You can date is as March 9th but make sure it is not mailed before your 90-day window opens. I had my forms filled out and signed a week before I mailed it.
