That's not normal if he does not like his job he need to move on to something else, i understand that they are overwhelmed by call after call, but i believe that he was told that before he got the job, i worked in call centers before, and we had so much stress and people called us names, but we never took it on the customer, because i made the choice to work in that environment.

Since no one wrote anything here, i will send an update. My case was received today, after involving Ombudsman, my case was sitting in Texas service for over 3 months. if i did not took an action and starting trying to figure out my case or even follow the process of waiting them until they get back to me, i wouldn't know. I actually sent massive emails to two congressman, and did infopass and contacted Ombudsman by email (online form) and i contact them by email because they said it's still not assigned but i explained my situation and inform them that USCIS is trying to make me pay $405 to reissue a duplicate and he actually assigned the case.
So my case is now at NVC for processing.

This is exactly what happened to me, keep calling and request tier 2 and ask him or her where is the file they have two systems where they can look at cases and if you have the right tier 2 he will definitely know where the case is, in my situation one system showed still in Texas and another one shower nvc each time I call they say it was shipped and that was the system the reps use, I had congressman involved everyone, until I talked to the correct tier 2 and he actualy told Me that my case was just sitting in Texas and he will send an expedited request he did on April 18th and the case was received April 21st.

The funny this is after the case has been received , I received a letter from USCIS stating they lost my case and I need to request duplicate approval notice

strongmykIt's legal there is no abuse, i believe your need to educate yourself on immigration laws, go to USCIS.gov and check it, it will tells you that you can file application for your spouse children under 21 years same day you become a law permanent resident, and YES this is totally right WE ARE NOT ILLEGALS we are people try to be with thier family as soon as possible, another thing you should KNOW, the embassy told my mother you can use the visa on her passport as a proof of residency, and if you look in VISA you will in the bottom stating that UP ON ENDORSEMENT SERVES AS TEMPORARY I-551 EVIDENCE OF PERMANENT RESIDENCE for 1 YEAR, and they told her (the Embassy) to not wait for the plastic card and she can file immediately. I have been here for over 10 years paid my taxes, and never used welfare, no food stamps no health insurance, i always paid for everything, and i think i deserve to have my family with me. USCIS and NVC are known to return incomplete document, so if what we have done was not right or abuse i am sure it petition will be sent back, we followed everything by the book, we completed all documents correctly and truthfully, and also the whole process took from start to began about 3 years.
if you want talk about abuse, you need to mention why NVC takes almost a year an half to get visa available, why it takes them 60 days to review documents, we paid for the fees it not our problem if they can't handle it. we do everything what they said. if you want talk about abuse, talk about the high fees we pay to bring our loved one. and i am sure you are in this website to seek help and guidance how to successful get your loved one to US, i am sure your have a wife or a husband or kids you are trying to bring them because you status shows that you are F2A. for me it's not abuse, it ignorance that people did not know that they can file for their kids first day they become LPR, yes its true did not pay dime when they file taxes, remember most new immigrant they never paid a dime. good luck bring your family

We have almost the same culture, but guess what we changed the country to look for new horizons, let them deal with culture if they don't like it, that mean they like us only because we produce money to them, if we don't we will bad people, how fair is that. another easy way, is to petition your parent, they come and you no longer send money. thats what i did

AS soon as you parent Enter US, they can petition for them, you can file I-130 with a copy of the visa that your parent got IR-5 which contain a temporary green card. and
Lowlie please don't judge people, you really don't know the circumstances and each person has different stories, in US people left their kids and families for no reason, so probably these parent that coming to US are looking for new opportunities, so PLEASE stop being judgmental, i know someone that they left 7 years old kid to come to US, and do you want to know why they moved and left a 7 years, because the father is sick and he needs to have a surgeries and can not be done anywhere with success expect in US. it's not the parent fault that they couldn't bring thier kids, the immigration process is broken.

well based on my mother's expierence, she had two passport one expired and other one is valid from the same country, she is a visitor visa to US in the expired passport, when she came she showed them both passport, the valid one and expired one and she was able to enter with no issues.

Yes it does not have to be hers, i paid for my mothers, and a friend of mine paid for his friend. the only thing they worry about is receiving money, they don't care who is paying.

I filed for my mother and our case was approved, knowing that i will have to submit I-864, and since i was married at the time i filed, and now i am divorced. should I send a copy of divorce paper or not, in the I-864 there is a line ask to add 1 if you are married. if i add 0 and not sending the divorce paper will that generate an RFE assuming that CO may think that i did a mistake or i was trying to not show household member i am supporting.

I called my Congressman after 30 days, and Congressman still contacting the USCIS and NVC on my behalf and i receive updates from congressman, i even received letters from the congress man almost every two weeks, and they are really on the top of it. usually the congressman receives an update a day earlier, example i sent an email to NVC research, i received update from congressman first and one day letter the NVC replied to me.
So contacting NVC , USCIS or Congressman will not affect your visa no relationship, its not a personal matter to upset NVC :-)

Yeah, he sounded from New York, and i know his name. I was very polite to him, as dwheels76 said, i will wait until process is done, and will file complaint. this kind of behavior should not happen.

I had my interview this Morning and i would like to share my store.
First i would like to suggested that to get the Book from the USCIS local office because everything is in there.
So This is my store. Me and my wife drove to the Local office where i have my interview for naturalization, the drive was quite long. While drive tried my best to memories all 100 questions by heart, which i did :-). so even though i know every question and answer by heart i was still nervous (Normal). We get there 30 minutes prior my interview time. everyone was nice, pass through the security. I went and got my ticket and asked to wait in the waiting area, after 10 minutes, an office called my Ticket #, she was very nice and she asked me to follow her, but she noticed that my wife is with me so she asked her to come to the office with which was weird,she asked us to raise our hand and swear, we did. after that she asked us to sit and my wife was still in the same office. The Office asked my wife for her driver lisence and she asked me the same thing including Green Card and passport. After that she asked my wife if we are living in the same address, she said yes and asked her if we are still married (I was thinking this is my interview not my wife's interview) my wife said yes. After that the Office said we will start by your reading and writing test. she told me to Read : Who is George Washington? and asked me to write : Washington was the first president. She said everything correct that's good. then she said now will test your Civic and government knowledge below is the questions :

Who is the father of our country? (George Washington)
We elect a US Representative for How many years? (2 Years)
The House of Representative has how many voting members? (435)
Name One war fought by the United States in the 1900s ( World War I , World War II, Korean War , Vietnam War...)
What is the Chief Justice of the United States now? (John Roberts)
What month we vote for President.

After asking all question she start asking me about N-400 questions. Then asked my wife about her prior marriage and how we did meet. The Officer then asked me why i want to become a US Citizen.
Note : The Office didn't check evidence we brought nor Selective services or divorce paper or marriage Certificate, i told her that we have all document she said all i need is your green card, Driver license and passport and said seeing your wife coming with you and all document you mailed to us, prove your marriage is valid.
She even told us about someone that came for Naturalization without documents and he was alone she sent home and requested more document.
Waiting for the Oath date and i will be done. Planning me and my wife celebrate and go for vacation somewhere in Europe as soon as i get my passport :-).
So Good Luck to everyone, hope my store will help some of you and be prepared, being nervous is normal but prepared is required :-). be honest answer question correctly, take your time, ask the office to repeat the question if you didn't understand or you didn't hear it well. I was actually distracted with my wife being with me, because when i was preparing for the test, my wife kept answering the question at home and i was worry that she will do the same thing .

Hello, Congratulation to all how have their interview scheduled and good luck to everyone.
I would like to add one note. My interview in less than two weeks, one of the document that the USCIS office requested me to bring is Selective service registration letter. I didn't have that letter and i contacted the SSS and they asked me to send them document that prove that i didn't become a LPR until after age 26, On June 17 i sent them the documents (Copy of VISA K1 and GreenCard) and today i received the letter stating that i am not eligible to register because i enter the US after age 26.
