If the petitioner is not a US citizen from birth thats what shows citizenship. and the passport pages also shows that the petitioner has indeed traveled in the pass 2 years to visit the beneficiary. Serves 2 purposes if not one.
    Best regards,

Even if this a fictional horror story, I will still thank the OP because of this thread, I learned what VAWA, FSU, RUB, Munchausen syndrome are and what someone could do if this happens really to you or anybody you know.
It is not that far from reality at all, you know? Just the vanishing act, I mean.

I've been reading a few more pages in this thread. As pointed out there are some serious inconsistencies in the OP's story. The situation as been repeated and he has used similar descriptive words in his pasts posts. Be aware everyone that there is a disorder called Munchausen syndrome where people make false stories to get attention. I saw a person get found out in a photography forum of all places. This guy had continuous drama all of which was proven to be a lie. The individual confessed fully to me and said he had the disorder for years. He was on many forums with a handful of personalities.
So, while the OP may truly be in need of our help and we should assume he is honest, protect your emotions and realize he could be making these stories up. His story is a K1 VISA immigration nightmare which he could be exploiting.

Wow. I'm REALLY sorry that this has happened to you, but before taking time to feel sadness, you NEED to PROTECT yourelf.
    1) If she has an ATM card to your account - shut it down.
    2) If she has passwords to any of your bank acounts, email accounts, ANY acount - change them immediately.
    3) Send a letter ASAP to USCIS and notify them of the course of events. This will protect you against her saying you were abusive. She can not apply for VAWA but she can allege abuse and you'd have a diffiult time to ever petition someone else if you decided to.
    4) Change the locks on your doorss. She has abandoned the premises but if she decided to return tonight and just enter your place you'd be powerless to do anything about it.
    5) Do NOT be alone with this woman if she contacts you. You could be set up for a potential abuse allegation.
I am so sorry that this has happened, but it could have been worse. You could have married this woman and thing could have become very difficult for you. Time heals - believe me when I say this but for now concentrate on protecting yourself.
    Goiod luck.

Have you tried, making her sign a notarized sworn statement that she will file I-864 as a co-sponsor in the future upon filing of you I-485? shortly after your marriage in US? I dont know if this will work but it worth the try.. Thanks...

I would NOT consider getting married as the solution to your problem.
Here's what happened (if you don't know how govt works...) I imagine that super swamped uscis saw your application and said "is this a joke? (they probably even took it as an insult) and then probably said "ok, let's give him back what he deserves".
So reopening the case would amount to nothing because you sent them almost nothing. It would be better for you to re-apply and this time make sure you send all the documents required, check that every form and doc is filled out correctly, signed and dated, organized and the fee/check written correctly with the correct amount. in other words this time, do not give uscis a reason to deny you.
It doesn't always take the average 4-6 months if your application is well organized. The sooner you start the shorter you have to wait. click on the forms here under K1, print the instructions and the list of requriements.
and do not apply for a tourist visa after sending your i129f if you don't want complications. good luck.

wow, I'm wondering why didnt you read up on this process.... but anywho...everything happens for a reason.
Now for starters you can check out one of my posts seeks help http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/310225-run-down-of-the-k1-visa-thnx-for-your-help/page__p__4933685__fromsearch__1#entry4933685
you might also want to use that pretty "google custom search" area at the top right and search for key words such as " checklist for k1 visa" and "checklist for i-129f"
Best of luck to yuh, and PLEASE READ, we're all one big happy family here on VJ. no lawyer fee charged and the same or even better service here

Successful applicants have included supporting documents such as SCANNED PLANE TICKETS, PASSPORT STAMPS, PHONE BILLS, REMITTANCES, and most importantly, CLEAR PICTURES OF YOU AND YOUR FIANCEE TOGETHER (have it developed and NOT just printed from an ordinary printer). Also include proof of your US Citizenship.
Just file a new one, costs less and possibly less hassle. And please, do more extensive research before sending out your I-129F package. make sure everything is in order.
    Good luck and stay strong.

The sad part about all of this is that this is a person who did not have the wonderful people and information here at Visa Journey to help him out BEFORE he started the K-1 Visa petition.
When you are given step by step instructions its pretty hard to mess up. However, the government USCIS Website does have ample information that would of explained that more is needed than the 129F. I really do feel the pain because its been five months already. Its not as simple as "come to my country and lets get married". I doesn't work that way and sure doesn't work his way. I cant speak for them but I don't know if I could do another five months without my baby being my wife....If economically possible, I would marry and try for the other process afterwards, but thats my personal opinion...I really do feel for you...

Ro Damon reacted to JimVaPhuong in Went to the local office personally
I think we're talking about two different "local offices" here. The OP indicated he went to the congressman's local office to sign the authorization forms that allow them to inquire on his behalf. Others are talking about an Infopass appointment at a local USCIS office. So, let's address both of those.
The only difference between an inquiry from a congressional representative and one from the petitioner is that they are required to respond to an inquiry from a congressional representative, whereas they can simply ignore an inquiry from a petitioner. However, they aren't required to provide any information to a congressional representative that they wouldn't or haven't already provided to the petitioner. Some people have reported movement on their case soon after they contacted their congressional representative. Others have reported no change. The only thing we can conclude from this is that there's nothing we can conclude from this. We have no idea whether contacting a congressional representative will result in any action, or what circumstances are more likely to result in action. Judging from the number of VJ members who say they've contacted their congressional representatives I would guess that this tactic is used a LOT, and probably doesn't have much impact anymore.
As Gary mentioned, local USCIS offices don't handle I-129F petitions. These are handled at only a couple of USCIS regional service centers. You can make an Infopass appointment at your local USCIS field office, but neither your petition nor the adjudicator who is reviewing it are there at that office. There's nothing the people at the field office can do to make the adjudicator work any faster on your petition.

The Guides area has all the forms needed listed. The example forms section has samples of the forms. The Downloads section has links to all the forms.
You can also check the USCIS site for the I-134 and I-864. Those are the 2 affidavits of support that would apply in a K1 case. The I-134 at the embassy stage, the I-864 at the Adjustment of Status phase.
You, your fiancee, and the family member can do some reading here on VJ to learn the requirements, nuances of sponsorship. There are many past and present threads on the topic.

I think some countries are prone to more scrutiny simply because there is a large online dating (match making) industry where US government fears fraudulent marriages may take place, so they are extra careful. I am not saying it right or wrong, but, maybe the reason we see delays in petition approvals..
Just remember there are hundreds upon hundreds on this forum who are legit and going about the right way to bring loved ones, but thousands of others who try to come illegally, which pose a greater problem to this country in the long run. So for that reason alone, USCIS has to be diligent and through. Unfortunately in this process , some have to wait and be patient. I guess that's a small price pay to come to this country.

Seeing the timeframe changed in VSC at the USCIS website makes me all the more upset  .My fiance called before and he was always told to call back when the 5 month mark passes. So what now???It states that the current paper being processed in VSC are the ones dated March 15, 2011 and beyond that are still under normal processing times? That's just messed up.We'll definitely gonna be calling on Monday which is going to be our 151st day from NOA1 and if they'll just gonna give us same lame reason,we might get the congressman/senator involved and hope it will work. :crying:
