NOA = Notice of Action ... you get ONE saying they received your petition and then number TWO is the other one you want, just short hand.
well-said! I second motion!
-
Previous responders are correct... Do not stress for no reason! Now is the time for you to exercise patience, waiting for the NOA2. Welcome to the party!
Good luck.
YMMV
That's absolutely true! let's all wait! they will all come...
-
Based on our experience, we did the same thing, we sent our application to Texas, and then they forwarded our application to California, you are good to go. Just wait for 5 months max to know of your status. Hey check your status at USCIS Homepage! Good Luck!
-
your point well-taken.
-
good luck !!!
Good Luck!!!

Actually, I am thinking of the same thing. Not because I doubt my love and relationship with my fiancee. It is the least thing I could ever imagine. Since my interview is up this Feb, I am thinking I might get return tickets as they are cheaper, should we (me and my fiancee) go back and visit folks in the P. I. One way is like 800 dollars and when two-way it's round 1.200, 1,300 USD. So, which way to go?

That's right. Speaking English is a factor.
-
Congratulations!

That is right, USUALLY it takes 5 months to a year, but in some cases, even less than 5 months or even more than a year. But as soon as you filed the i-129F form, and the receipt was sent back to your petitioner, the counting and waiting begins!!! Welcome to Visa Journey!!!

You have a very interesting question. I have NOT gotten any specific answer to this, however, I have heard that with the help of some senators or congress men in the United States, you can expedite them. Still, I do not understand how that helps, aside from politics??? Good Luck!
-
your last comment made us all confused. So, you are NOT a US citizen nor a permanent resident??? give us some light so we may understand you well.
-
Good, am just keeping my fingers crossed, hopefully would hear something beautiful from them soon..........
That's a great news! good luck to us all!
-
Thanks.. I will try your suggestion with my fingers and toes crossed!
I will do the same for you! crossing fingers and toes, that is!
-
If I understood you perfectly, your question pertains to "if you have enough time" --- well, if I were you, I would put the "rush" off for a while, and enjoy your vacay in South Africa, and when you get back, you could resume the application/process. Have a good day!

I guess, they might sound old to you, but they are still accurate. We have filed our K1 petition (I-129F) at Texas Service Center lastt June 2011, that's first touch. Then, they forwarded it to CSC for adjudication.
You might want to browse USCIS website, and see if there are any changes. We would appreciate if you would share that to us all. Cheers!
-
This is pretty much basic. From here, you might want to browse the sample forms and there is, yes, a template that's pretty easy to edit. Edit the USCIS Office Address, date, your name and your fiance/e's name, sign it, and you are good to go!

Hi,
I applied I 130 for my husband on Aug 23rd 2011..
I called the USCIS Customer help number since it has been over 5 months. The operate said that my husband will receive interview letter in two weeks.
Can someone tell me Is it True?
Thank you
Each is a case to case basis. Your timeline is still OK, 5 months. I have heard that some married couples had to wait longer than that. You are not alone in this bandwagon. You are still fine, just wait for their instructions and keep reading here, they would give you pieces of good advice!
Cheer up!

Good Compilation!

hello vjers,
i am us citizen and want my sister to come over...i have started filling out i 130 forms ...do i need to attach her picture too?thank you
As far as I know, you can primarily petition your parents, but sadly not your siblings. Then, your parents would petition your sister, but it would count years.
-
If they ask you that, then, just provide them what they needed. You will be fine
-
exactly what others mentioned here. You have to wait a little bit, say a week or two, then, after that, call the NVC and check if they have already forwarded the case.
-
Congratulations!
-
Wow! yours was wow! 13 days, that's very fast!
