My waiver interview was Aug 5, USCIS received my case on Aug 30 and I got approved on OCt 28 so mines took about 2 months; don't know about your case if it's complicated then it might take a little longer. Good luck!!

Hi guys I have a problem concerning my new address. After the paper work was done and my case competed visa interview done; my husband moved to a different state. When I submitted the waiver I pointed out that he moved, the new address is on the I-601 but the embassy sill put the old address on the front of the sealed envelope. My question is would it be a problem at POE when I give my new address; would the officer allow me to forward my green card to my new address. I know if I go back to that embassy theyre gonna give problems and delays. Thank u.

My waiver did not go through Mexico, Hubby and I prepared the waiver packet our selves and we got approved. I did do alot of research and I found out most people do it themselves. It's worth a shot if u get denied u can always hire a lawyer for the appeal.

Maybe that is why her journey lasted 9 years???
Bob
Lol that's funny bob; and what's going on with u ? Hav u been approved ?
-
Thanks for the comments some of u were kinda harsh lol. I was never gonna open nothing I just felt really low when she called me a coward and the feed back really helped I'm almost at the end of my journey and it would be stupid to do such a thing and it's a good lesson for others on this forum who are going through this process. That person is ignorant and I'll never listen to anything she says.

Thank u charlesR just wanted To confirm what I already thought. That idiot doesn't care cause she didnt spend thousands of dollars. She just wants to see me fall. I'll never do that.

On my last flight back to the states, there was a couple in the other line who had opened their envelope. The officer ripped them a new one, scolding them like you would a 5yr old. I don't know what the end result was, but very embarrassing on their part from what I saw. Tell the genius he/she is an idiot.

Quick question guys, ive been reading that the embassy gives. U a sealed envelope, can u open it or do one get in trouble. I'm asking cause someone today said that she would open that envelope even if you're told not to. When I did my medical the doc gave me a sealed envelope and I submitted it as is; I told that wise person that and she called me a coward. I mean it is our life we should Hav a right to know; we are paying customers after all. Is this 'wise' person leading me in the wrong direction? Or maybe she's jealous that i Hav gotten through so fast and her process took nine years.

Thanks alot guys that helps I cant wait to get back!!!!

Why do u need a waiver? we prepared the package ourselves and what stood out the most in our package is how genuine it was; we submitted the hardship letter along with the forms and my stepdaughter wrote a simple letter; included pics of the fam. So make sure to add stuff along that line, if u could afford a good lawyer then go for it; if not do plenty of reading concerning waivers for k1 visas. Good Luck!!!
