I think it is totally unfair dat an IO at the US Consulate gets to dictate a person's love life depending on their moods. For example, the Kingston embassy I notice dat they approve a bunch of visas but denies at least three all stating lack of evidence when evidence was clearly provided. Its funny I see women who are way older than their fiances only visited once n they get approved. Then there are people who visited more than once n been in the relationship for a while and get denied. And I think its wrong dat they ask questions like how come your fiance only visited once? Hello.do or do they not require us to have a jon. This whole immigration thing is bullsh@t.

I dont mean to brag, but Im extremely happy that my request for expedite under the financial hardship category was approved after 17 days! Firstly, I want to let you guys know that getting your Congress Representative involved in your case DOES help. On September 24, I requested an expedite under financial hardship. On the same day I received a request for evidence. I sent my evidence on September 28th through fax. I received a fax confirmation and that's it. I practically called the USCIS everyday. On October 10th, I requested an expedite for a decision. The Tier 2 operator told me that by Monday October 15th, I will receive a decision. However, I didnt all I received was an email stating that they received my evidence and that my case was still under review. So today when I called again the Tier 2 said maybe I should contact my Representative. So I did out of frustration. Being that my first K1 petition was denied at the US Consulate in Jamaica, I contacted my Congress Representative back in Janaury. And I had no idea that any other case sent to the USCIS is reported to my Congress Representative. Luckily, my Congress Representative is Jamaican like me. Anyway, when I called the office today they told me that they sent me mail and if I received it. And then I said why what happen? Then she said to me that the VSC center emailed them letting them know that my second I129F petition was approved for expedited processing on October 11,2012. Just to show you how inaccurate the USCIS can be. It is better to get your Congress Representative involved because they directly contact the Service Centers. And once you get them involved, they will follow up on any other thing that you do with the USCIS. Also, for anyone that feels that they will have a good enough reason for an expedite please do it and pray on it. I received a lot of negative feedbacks from some VJers. The ones who believed that only US Deployments get approved. Also, those with medical emergencies. Financial hardships do get approved! And I make way above the poverty level. So please dont assume that this will effect your case in any way. Just cause you make enough doesnt mean you can't have financial hardships. If you guys have any questions please feel free to ask.

I dont think i would ever do it again but i cant say never because i dont know the future but at this point thats what i feel
the visa process complicated my life and my health would be like asking me to put my hand in a fire and leave it there

-- all you can do is provide the information they ask. Not sure how long your fiance will be in AP. The longest I've know through the US Embassy in Jamaica was 6 months. It took that long because more information was requested and a 2nd interview done. Not saying his case will take that long. Like my girl says, we're all adults. You do what you want my dear -- your decision -- you have to deal with it good or bad. Either way -- try have a good day -- One Love, Lawny.

Sorry to be the voice of reasoning, but the OP did post this thru the Jamaican forum. But that is not the issue here, NO one should be insulting anyone on this board. All are adults, (I hope so) some may not act like it, but none of us are mothers or fathers of the OP who can justify posting comments as if they are disiplining children.
Post your statement to aid in the problem and move on, whether the OP likes it or not is up to them.
OP, sometimes you may get omments you don't like, but remember you did come and ask for assistant. You can always request that the topic be close, and that will end the posting for all.

Look I dont need your negative feed back. You're not familiar with the way things are done at the Jamaican embassy. I wasnt there at the interview I'm repeating what I was told by my fiance. OK so I would APPRECIATE if you dont add your two cents in this. Thanks

I'm pretty sure there are SENSIBLE people with human feelings that gets frustrated in the process of seeing their love one. maybe I should rephrase: Sensible thoughts anyone?
