Our case was completed and closed on 09/15/2011 per NVC yesterday. They said they tried to schedule an interview but were unsuccessful and that they will not try again til October to schedule it. The lady told me to contact the embassy directly and try to get a sooner date scheduled. I will be doing that today!
I cannot believe we are finally done! Thanks to all who have guided me along and to the makers of all of the guides! This was super easy
Time consuming... frustrating.. and a little annoying... yet easy! lol
Have you had any success getting an earlier interview date?
-
For evidence, all that we provided was a copy of our marriage certificate and two affidavits that weren't notarized. We had an RFE, but that was because I forgot to include a copy of my passport. No need to go insane with bona fide evidence.

AOS Bill showed 'PAID' today! Sent off our AOS package to NVC so that they'll get it tomorrow. I really feel like we're going somewhere now!

Yeah, I have both the Case number and IIN. I've tried signing in but i get a SIF. I'm assuming our info is still being loaded.
We've had all the paperwork together since July so I just have to pay postage and drop it in the mail
Just got the email from NVC and logged in and paid our AOS bill. I've never been this happy to pay a bill. Weird feeling...
When should the IV Fee be available to pay?
-
You have your case number, do you have the invoice identification number (IIN)? Having the IIN will allow you to sign into the payment portal and pay the appropriate bills.
Are both your packages (AOS and IV) ready for submission, once the bills are paid (and show as paid on the payment portal) then the packages can be sent. No need to wait for any instructions (you will be waiting a long time if you do).

Got our Case Number today!! Sent our choice of agent email as soon as I could. Wife's asleep, so sent the email from her address for her
I'm glad we are finally on our way. The woman on the phone said it would be 20-30 business days before they sent us instructions on what to do next. Is that bypassed by emailing the choice of agent email?

It took me almost 41 days to get a case number after I got my NOA2! Just have patience... it'll come eventually.
Guess I can't complain just yet

So jealous of you guys that are able to see your spouse as your process is going on... dag on school...lol.
We're on the downhill now...61 days until interview whooooooooooooooooooo!
I guess it's one benefit of only needing to go to London. I'd definitely (and I'm sure my wife would agree) that we would trade a visit for having an interview date.
In other news, I really hate the NVC. I've called twice a day for the last 7 business days, and have gotten 14 different responses as to why we don't have a case number yet. They keep saying that they 'just received' the file...(on the 15th of August). Does everyone have a bad experience with them?
I'd just like to have a case number...

Interview complete! My husband was approved this morning, he said the US Embassy in London was packed and they made an error and scheduled everyone that day at 9am. He was there a total of 4 hours as he got there at 8am. He got asked three simple questions by a nice lady filled out the courier form and he was done. Should get the package from the embassy in 7-10 days.
I am so excited I was trying to hug sparrows on my way to work this morning!!!
Congrats! That's so exciting!
I won't be able to wait to see my wife. I'm booking a flight to London this week to see her at the end of the month.

Interview tomorrow!!!!
I will report back how it goes for my husband in London. I keep telling him it will be fine and to relax but he is very nervous obviously! I will not be sleeping well tonight as it will be all over and done with before 4am EST.
Good Luck!!!
I find it incredible that your priority date is just 3 days ahead of ours, and we haven't even received our NVC number. I'm well jealous!!!

MJW and I got our NAO2 emails tonight!!!!
That means from the time they signed for our RFE response to our approval was 3 days. AMAZING! We're so so happy to finally be moving along!

Hey guys,
I'm getting the AOS paperwork together for MJW's and my application. We recently got an RFE from the USCIS, so we will have some time before we get to the NVC stage but I want to be prepared now.
I was looking at the instructions and it says 'and/or a letter from your employer if you believe any of these items will help you qualify.' We will be using a joint sponsor who easily meets the minimum income. Do I need to include employment letters for myself and our joint sponsor, or is it just supplementary to the rest of the packet?
Thanks in advance!
