So Some had their interview on THURSDAY.it made me believed i was still on scheduled.I got to the embassy and interview had been rescheduled. The CO claims, there is mail to its effect.
Bad News,it pushed things for me

A man marrying an older woman in Turkey is unusual, they must have seen that as a red flag and it looks like he did not convince them during the interview.
Does he have any children? How old is he? What job does he do? Where does he live?
I've lived in Turkey for 5 years, and I've seen an incredible number of men taking advantage of female tourists. It is very common for a certain category of young guys to hook up with a European or American girl, pretend they're in love, while they actually are married or engaged and only interested in the money/free sex/entertainment/immigration benefits. You wouldn't believe what I witnessed...
I'm not saying it's the case with your husband, but I'm pretty sure the US embassy is very aware of that, and the age difference made them suspect a scam. You're gonna need a lot of work to prove it is a bona fide relationship.
Good luck!
If you arent referring to the OP husband.I am sure the OP isnt needing such comment that isnt solving her worry.
Totally off the TOPIC

If they havent MeT face to face.then they are not qualified for either fiancee or spouse visa.
The major requirement ils to have met at least once in the past one year.
If they cant meet in Nigeria, they can choose another country of their choice.without meeting, sorry petition wont be approved, talkless of getting to lagos consulate
-
Those guys offered good service.but i bet its contract based.
Thats contract span for u,enjoy while u render such service
-
I am definately trying to find my own way n i havent relentedd on gettin the latest info even from the embassy itself.
I know things can take a turn, hopefully for my favour...smiles

Thanks everyone
Wanted to know if its Generally acceptable to present the scanned copies, cos of the proposed strike in Nigeria.
I will print more of our IM's n call record

My interview comes up next week.My fiancee would be coming down to Nigeria next thursday with the supporting documents for my interview. The bad feeling is Nigeria Begins a Nationwide Strike Next Monday, which will ground movement, both Air,water n Land.
I'll like to know if scanning the documents for my interview will be acceptable by the embassy. So as to prevent missing things entirely, cos i cant say how long the strike might be.It just might be called off on tuesday, but its certain to hold on MONDAY.while she is leaving the states on Wednesday.
If you have had your interview in Lagos with scanned or photocopied docs,Kindly share
-
I mailed the embassy this Morning .This is the response
Thank you for your email. You will be contacted if there is a change in your interview date..if there is a problem in a country,it does affect all embassies.
What i am kinda of worried about is presenting Scan Copies during my interview. My fiancee is to bring the documents with her on thursday but i fear the strike could hinder her landing by then.
Anyone submitted Photocopies or scanned documents during the interview.Pls share
-
Though it begins by monday as speculated.dont know how long it wld be.
I wasnt on seat most of the day to mail the embassy.did send a mail,n hope to get a response by friday noon.
Hopefully,it wont be worse than i think

I did Visited Airtel and Called MTN for my Call records. After Airtel asked me to provide the Court affidavit and Police report,i was told i needed a letter from the embassy as well (I knew the Embassy wasnt going to give).
MTN Said they dont give out Call records except on security issues.
Reading through the Packet 3/4, its stated that the TELEPHONE RECORD SHOULD BE FROM THE US CITIZEN,So she is providing that even though i do most of the calling to her.I am sure it will be accepted if your US fiance/spouse Provides the Phone records
Best of Luck

Praying for u n do stay strong
-
it doesnt matter when ur petition expired,as far u vent gotten an interview date
-
The embassy will email u the Pck 3/4 containing forms n docs u will be needing for interview.
You need to contact the embassy after ur petition leaves NVC for interview date, which is almost 2 mths after
Best of Luck

To get to National Population commission in lagos.Board bus to Ojuelegba.take another bus to Bode Thomas.alight at the Last Bus stop.
Ask around for it.its less than a min walk from the bus stop.
To apply for the attestation.you need an affidavit for age declaration.declaration shld be from immediate family
2 passports fotos.
You can reach this no: 08023284642 Mr.Lawal,he is a staff
the cost is still N2500 except u want it done faster.
Good luck with ur journey
Yes i believe someone can get it for you,as far as the requested affidavit is provided

Will the Embassy allow me to do the interview alone? Remember that they listed them as beneficiaries and they requested that we must come to the interview together
Yes the Embassy will allow you do the interview alone, since the fee would be for you alone. You can tell the consular officer you werent able to raise the fund for your wife and kid and you intend getting them over as soon as you start earning enough
i plan to sell my land for flight tickets if i get the visa. I doubt if i can get a buyer now before the interview.
Like its advised,do NOT Sell anything until you have your VISA.I understand your inability to finance the whole family, but being the Primary winner, you can always get them over as soon as you r qualified to

From where r u intending to move to UK.
I know a few people who didnt know the existence of Visajourney.com and had successful migration/migration or rather Visajourney.
What it entails is meeting the requirements for the consulate, fill the required docs, provide the requested infos/docs and i am sure u will be fine.
Mind you,it entails u n ur spouse/fiancee or better still the recruitment of an agent if u no ur lapses.
Best of Luck

I was scheduled for 13th of Jan.didnt have my interview, cos d embassy had rescheduled all immgrant applicants on friday only
Ken had his interview on thursday.Business is going on as usual at the lagos embassy.
There is movement is the early morning/evening of strike day.if u drive, drive early down,if not book an hotel near d embassy.I opted to stay with a friend, who drove me 5mins away from d embassy on my interview day.
So if ur interview falls on d strike day...u definately r expected at d embassy, except u opted not to,n shld mail d embassy in dis regard.
Cheers and Happy Visajourney
