    don't assume all advice to follow proper procedures equals anger ... the OP needs to be informed, and even though you managed to adjust status without issue... (I don't know your circumstances so I can't judge)... she may not be so lucky...
    and the OP didn't state that she had return tickets... she just said she decided to move to Hawaii.... just typing that on an immigration forum could cause her problems... and she is not totally legal to adjust here if she came into the US with the intent to immigrate..
    again.. my two cents...

    Thanks for all the replys!!
    I know that I usually get grilled at the Detroit/Windsor tunnel and I'm a USC!! So we will be sure to allow for extra time and just expect the possibility of getting sent to secondary!! We will make sure we bring all of his AOS/EAD/AP paper work along with passport and EAD/AP card!

    Called DOS again this morning and got a really friendly lady that told me she could see that our case went from *In Processing* to *Approved* and we should be hearing from the consulate (in her words) "Really really soon!!" ..... I was hoping for a *it's been printed*.... but I'm happy to have some sign of forward movement!!!!!
    *fingers crossed* that they will be pushing to get as many visas out before the holiday next week!!!!

    tomorrow is the interview date and I'm so HAPPY EXCITED NERVOUS AND SCARED ... I feel a little like a kid on christmas eve who's hoping santa brings them the present they wanted the MOST in their WHOLE life....
    EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKK.......
    phew....okay.... just had to let that out and now I can be a supportive calm rock for my love who has to get through that interview tomorrow!!

    Almost over indeed... at least the separated part... the paperwork has only just begun!!...but I can face ANY amount of paperwork as long as my love is with me!!
    I was wondering how Montreal was going do deal with the backlog...you could be right
    I don't know what people do that don't have internet access... we are a good example... my fiance' doesn't have access unless he goes to the library and I only have access at work.... (my boss is going to be glad that I finally got an appointment booked )
    okay...so...20 days and counting!!
