deus360 reacted to Loren Y in Why are CBP now giving only 2 month stay in the US instead of the typical 6 month
I find this interesting. I have a good friend in CBP and I will ask her about this. She works the lines as a CBP supervisor, and has been doing it for around 18 years. I haven't heard of this being country specific, but most of the time they can see your entry and exit records into the US over the last X number of years, and if they see a lot of entries, or a lot of days spent here in the US they will limit your visit. I have never gotten an exact formula as how they come up with how long they admit you for, but they will cut the time if they see a bunch of entries and believe you are spending too much time here. They only have access to US, Canada, and Mexico immigration records sharing due to agreements, but even that is limited. They can't see any overstays in other countries on their computer, but if you have an overstay stamp in your passport from when you exited that country they will see it. Overall they usually give 6 months as far as I know, but I will ask if that has changed recently and post back. There is no " Ranking" system per say, and each person is usually judged on their own merits and entries and exits.

    Hi Alex,
Thanks for your reply, I'm glad it helped you. I got email version before it was removed on the forum so I still read your reply. Too bad correct solution was removed but evidently this forum is not about helping others but make fun of them. I'm not going to cry about it but I'm not going to post anything anymore. Say thanks to Penguin_ie for removing your and my post for "covert advertising". What a joke.
Just for the record, did the lawyer confirmed what I had said? You don't have to post what the lawyer says (you may be accused of "covert advertising" if you do so) but if the lawyer agreed, the solution was already posted that Penguin_ie removed. Just say if your lawyer agreed with what I wrote
Thanks and good luck. You will be fine.

    Hi,
At least you showed an effort to find something of value. Unfortunately, this memo is not applicable in this case because this memo is all about what happens when you are late filling JOINTLY. Since he will need to file separately as he is divorced, there is no time limit when to apply. Just as the instruction says, file between you got your conditional card and before you get deported. And by the way deported means deported. It doesn't mean when deportation procedure started. So even if they started deportation procedure, you can still apply.

I have seen this before. Some people seem to take it personally when others try to help and state that having a child is not of great importances for the USCIS. This fact does not negate that having a child could be of great importance to the parent. FYI the only idiot here is you saspk; for been offensive and for linking facts that have nothing to do with each other. Even if you get a positive DNA you could still get a RFE. This only means that you had sex with that person and nothing more. I am not the only one here that thinks you are an idiot.

I got a RFE and I can tell you that the getting RFE has nothing to do with the fact that your application is taking a long time. It has more to do more with maybe the officer that's seen something weird in your application, then you could get a RFE. the fact that they are taking a long time probably only mean that your local USCIS is full.

    I would have disagree,
Look having kid can be very powerful evidence and could be on the top 3 easily, but it’s very relative to the context of the marriage. Now a day’s kids are born outside marriages and having them could only mean that 2 people had sex, nothing more, and the USCIS is aware of this. For me the single most important piece of evidences in absolute terms, nothing relative here, could be joint tax transcripts coming from the IRS ( because transcripts form IRS can’t be faked using turbotax etc), or a joint broker account going back at least to 2 years. In general nothing will guaranty you get your GC, but joint liabilities at least show you trust that person with your money. Unlawful marriage couples don't trust each other in with money matters because they are corrupt by nature. At least that's my opinion.
