  1. Hi I am active duty service member and my Wife arrived in USA on 06/13/2012. She recieved her 2 years green card which is due to Expire in 2014.

My question is should we file for I-751 to remove the condition

    or

    File for AOS I-485 / I-864 and I-765

if we remove the condition can we do it anytime ? or do we have to wait for 90 before the the permanent resident card expires in 2014. BTW our 2 years anniversary is Feb 2013.

  3. Can u apply for emergency visa if your case CR1 is going thru AP . In my case I have been admitted to the hospital since 27 Jan 2012 and presence of spouse is needed. Should my request her passport back or just ask the embassy for new interview date? Any help with be appreciated.

In my Hospital wont discharge unless there is someone in house to take care of me or I get better. BTW I am missing home :( sitting at hospital bed

  4. Hello Everyone,

I am glad to have found this forum. My wife had her first interview on 12/22/2011 where they asked for additional document to show proof of marriage. After they received the documents they called and scheduled another interview for 2/13/2011. After this interview they asked for us to show proof that i was in Pakistan when the marriage took place. I went ahead and sent them my passport with entry and exit stamps along with my flight itinerary. I called they DOS last week and they said that my wife's file was opened March 6, 2012. They kept all of the original documents along with her passport. Can anyone tell me how long it will take?

I am in exact same position my wife had her interview on 14july11 and they wanted more proof of on going relationship. 8 months and still under AP

  5. When was the last time you sent documents? You aren't sending anymore now unless they ask right?

Actually Ive sent them Documents 3x times since the interview. One huge packet on 15July2011 (day after the interview), Another packet in Oct and then latest proof of ongoing relationship on 02DEC2011.

According to DOS my wifes case is put on AP on 02DEC2011. So I got the feeling that ever time I send new set of documnts they put the case on AP over again.

Thus I wont be sending anymore unless they request it. I might have made the process longer since I kept on sending the documents without their request.

its odd that whenever embassy reply to our Email. its always the same reply since AUG 2011. Those new days they talked about has been turned into few months

    Dear Sir/Madam,

We have received your documents and forwarded this case to a Consular officer for review. We’ll contact you in few days to inform about the further process.

I hope this information will be helpful to you.

  6. same here I have a clean backgound and I am in a Federal Service since 2007. Got married to my 2nd cousion in Pakistan. Had interview on 14July2011 and only thing CO asked was proof of ongoing relationship. Now ive never had a strong relationship with my cousion before we got married(arranged marriage). Since then her case has been in AP.

All we ever heard from Embassy was

    Dear Sir/Madam,

We have received your documents and forwarded this case to a Consular officer for review. We’ll contact you in few days to inform about the further process.

I hope this information will be helpful to you.

  7. Your welcome ... what documents did you have to send?

Documents related to Proof of on going relationship since thats what they asked for when she had an interview July 2011. I just submitted new set of documents show there is going relationship between me and my wife. 3 months ago Embassy told us that Case has been forwarded to CO for review and they will contact us in few days but its been almost 3 months now. Guess I should stop sending them more documents.

  8. Thanks a for putting this up Eabbas, helps to know that how many people are sharing my pain. I just recieved another reply from Embassy similar as last time.

  9. My wife's interview was on 14 JULY 2011 and CO told her to submit more pictures and gave her the blue sheet saying provide documents for proof of on going relationship. Even tho she had all the documents available during the interview but CO told us to submit it via PIA Express office. 2 weeks after we submitted the documents, we were told that case is pending Admin Review. Last month Embassy sent me email that case is being reviewed by a CO and we can expect a call within few days but few days are turning into months.

But I am sending documents (proof of on going relationship) to the Embassy as they become available.

  10. Its been almost 5 months since my spouse's AP started, Case is pending review by CO at Islamabad Embassy. Just wondering if I can file for K-3 with USCIS while CR1 is pending. I dont really care if she enter's USA as non immigrant, atleast we will be together and I can spend money later on to change status. Has anyone done this before or know if thats even possible and USCIS/DOS/Embassy will consider this ?

BTW her Passport is with Embassy since the interview on 14JUL. Only reponse we got was case is pending review by CO about a month ago and no further updates since then.
