Congratulations...Answer: C9

There is nothing anyone here can tell you outside the notice you received. She maybe technically on administrative processing which requires in depth security checks.
-
Passport card received. They will not allow us to open a case on the lost Naturalization Certificate until 12/28/15. They sent us the photocopy back, but not the original.
That's just plain sad. I hope they are able to rectify this asap.
This was why I decided to just go to a passport agency and get mine done within hours. I just wanted to be done with all the anxiety and horror stories that touch the heart.

Applied for expedited service at Houston passport agency on 12/16

So, it begins?
Bill Summary
To prohibit the admission of K-1 nonimmigrants and to prohibit the issuance of K-1 visas, and for other purposes.
[R, TX]
Date Introduced
Dec 16, 2015

The clown is just seeking recognition. The bill would never become law or even make it out of the committee. Knee jerk reaction doesn't ever fix anything.

Congrats S_R!
Thanks Kash2011 and for the extraordinary work you guys do on VJ. Happy holidays!

He will be taken to secondary inspection for further processing. If there is no crowd in the secondary location he should be out within minutes. Nothing to worry about.

Oath ceremony was an anticlimax. 1,472 individuals from over 102 countries took the oath. It was solemn apart from the one hour delay by the judge. I went to the passport agency afterwards and applied for a passport. I'm scheduled to pickup by 2:30pm tomorrow the 17th. I guess that concludes a journey that began in December, 2011. I wish everyone still waiting the very best and to the rest of VJ members a happy holiday. I'll definitely be checking in to help newbies from time to time. Cheers!????

I've just heard on the news, whatever channel the MIL is looking at, that they don't know if she was interviewed for a Visa. That "they only look at doing an interview if there is a problem". Say what?! That was meant to come from the head man of USCIS.
They actually believe that people are issued these Visas all the time, without an interview. Very sloppy research, really.
Nobody is issued a K1 without an interview. You may get your GC approved without an interview on the other hand. Politicians love jumping on the next shiny object without ever actually addressing the real issues. This is only making news until the next tragedy and we repeat the same blame game

Congrats!

Interview was successful. Oath Letter received on the spot for 12/16/2015. The IO was extremely jovial from the get go and it never really felt like an interview.
Got in at 9:40am for a 10:10am appointment. I was called at 10:11 and taken to the back room.
These are the questions.
1. Who was the first President?
2. What is one thing Benjamin Franklin is famous for?
3. What movement tried to end racial discrimination
4. Who is the governor of your state
5 The Federalist Papers supported the passage of the U.S Constitution. Name one of the writers
6. Name one American indian tribe
I was told to read: When do we celebrate Presidents' day ?
Write: Presidents' Day is celebrated in February

Fox news is half just entertainment. Many of the people on it know quite literally nothing about anything. Even though I'm sure there were some 'Mericans watching yelling "heck yeah!" in their trailer it really doesn't mean anything. Geeze, even our resident crazy presidential candidate hasn't gone that far.
Does anyone find it odd that the second largest shareholder of faux news is Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal who also owns faux news arabic... faux news America says hate and fear muslims and faux news Arabic says hate and fear America.... What comes from all that hate and fear??? WARS FOR PROFIT!!

I am worried, too. My fiance is from Pakistan and I hope and pray that our process will not be delayed or denied because of what those whack jobs did. I am getting fed up with crazies and their vile actions making it harder for good, decent people to make a better life for themselves. I just hope all of our processes go smoothly. Our case is currently being transferred to the embassy in Islamabad.....hope it goes quick!
Case will be placed on AP

Until the United States and her allies decides to sanction the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia absolutely nothing will change. Saudi Arabia has been exporting wahaabism -an extreme form of Islam practiced by ISIS for decades . Yet, nobody seems to mention these folks. We here people jump on the Syrian bandwagon. The 9/11 hijackers were primarily Saudis. Osama Bin laden was a Saudi national. Has anyone on this thread heard any politician propose legislation to limit the inflow of Saudi citizens? Please, post the link here. All these noise about Syrian refugees is simply smoke and mirrors and I am sick and tired of it.

I think it is ridiculous for an entire religion to be demonized for the acts of a few. As a Christian I don't see anybody blaming me when a right wing nut shoots up planned parenthood. I see no freaking reason why all Muslims should automatically bear the brunt of a few terrorists. I am yet to see any Christian organization publicly apologize for any violent acts committed by its members. The visa waiver program should be changed. All those on the FBI's watchlist should not be able to buy guns. Every gun sale loophole should be blocked. Universal background checks should be introduced. We can NEVER stop every lone wolf attacks but we sure can make it a little difficult for things like these to keep happening on a regular basis . Prayers to the victims and their families.✌✌

Congratulations. Quick question...did you make copies of just your GC or you included your DL? ThanksHi Everyone, and congratulations to all new citizens in here.☺
Had my interview today in Charlotte,NC.
Here is my experience:
I had my appointment for 9:50 am.We (my family and I) arrived at the USCIS office an hour early.Did not mind at all since we have a newborn and had to make sure he is fed and taken care of, before we had to go in.
We went into the building 20 minutes before the appointment. It took about 15 minutes to get thru with the security check. When scanning baby's diper bag, there was a pair of nail scissors, which obviously, I forgot I even had it in there. It took so long because we could not find it. It was hidden into a small pocket, that we kept musing. The officers were nice though, very professional and courteous. After, they sent me in a room at Window #1 to check in. I checked in at 9:49( with one minute to spare). From there we were advised to go on to the appointments room;the waiting room. There we waited until they called my name. The IO came in and called me.We went to her office, where she appointed me to a chair. Then she asked for my green card,my passport, and my state ID. I handed them to her asking with copies. She was very pleased with the fact that I brought copies. ? Then, she asked for the birth certificate of our new baby. ? After, she went over the application. When we was done with that, she asked if I was ready for the test. I said yes, and she proceeded with the test questions.
1. Who wrote the Declaration of Independence?
2. What state borders Mexico?
3. What state borders Canada?
4. Who is the Commander in Chief?
5. There were thirteen original states. Name three of them?
6. What is the political party of the President?
I got 6 in a raw right, so she stopped asking. Then she moved on to the written section, but before she asked me to read out loud; "Who elects Congress?" After, I had to write: "The people elects Congress. "
She said, "Congratulations,you passed."
Next she had me sign the application. I asked if she needed any additional documentation, and she said she got everything she needed.
Then she put the seal with "Approved" on my application and said that I will have to wait for another 15 or 20 minutes to find out if I can make the cut into today's Oath ceremony, or Thursday's. Apparently, they do administrative ceremonies on Tuesdays and Thursdays. After about 15 more minutes I have received my Oath ceremony notice. Therefore , my Oath ceremony is going to be this Thursday, at 12:30 pm.
Thanks a bunch for updating. ☺

I passed the interview. Got scheduled for the Oath on 12/16.
Congratulations. You mean after the interview someone brought your oath letter to you? Please, elaborate on how this happened. Houston is simply not consistent on this issue and I have my interview next week. Thanks

That must be heartbreaking but you can divorce him and move on with your life. He really doesn't need your help to ROC. He can always file a divorce waiver if you guys are unable to patch things up unless you have actual evidence that he did not enter the marriage in good faith.

I am just here to share my experience and I hope this will help many of you.
I sent my application back on September 17th, my interview was today November 24th at 10:45am.
The interview was in New Orleans on Poydras street.
I arrived at 10:15am and put my purse through the scanning machine and I passed through the metal detector,
my earrings set the detector off anyways I passed though it one more time and everything was fine.
The security officer asked me why I was here, then told me to go to window 2 or 3.
I did, and gave my interview notice to the nice man there and waited for my name to be called.
My name was called at exactly 10:45am, I follower the man interviewing me who was very intimidating.
Following his instructions, I stood up with my right arm up and swore to tell the truth.
I then proceeded to give him my passport, state ID, and green card.
He asked if my name, birthday and address was correct and asked me to confirm that I wanted a name change.
I signed two identical forms with my current signature then signed my two photos with my new name.
I tried to make a joke here about my parents giving me too many names, but that joke never landed lol
He asked me to say When is Columbus day, then told me to write Columbus day is in October.
He then proceeded to ask me the civic questions, he stopped at 6 since i answered them all correctly.
1-what did the declaration of independence do?
2-How many years are senators voted for?
3- If the president and the vice president cannot fulfill their duties who does?
4-Name one branch of the government.
5-What does the president's cabinet do?
6-How many justices are on the supreme court?
Then he took my application and asked what is my address, telephone number and if i am married.
I said yes, but I married after filing for citizenship. He then asked for my husband's name, birthday, address, visa status,
place of birth, where he works and a copy of our marriage certificate.
He also asked if we both have been married before, and if we have children. (the answer to both questions was no by the way, i don't know if that is relevant)
He then put this "approved" stamp on my application, he filed some more things and told me congrats.
I am recommended for approval, and my oath ceremony will be held at a court because of my name change.
I am now just waiting for the oath letter that will contain the date and location of my oath ceremony.
I hope this helps someone
Congratulations. You are almost done. New Orleans field office must be really small or more efficient. You still have folks who filled in June waiting for interview.

Not a problem. You technically just need your GC to reenter the United States.
