"Ganbaru" is the infinitive form of the verb. "Ganbare" is what you would actually shout out when watching a game. You could shout out "Tsemppiä!" in my native tongue Finnish It has the exact same meaning as the Japanese word.

I really liked Hawk too. Stupid student visa...

Hmmm I don't care what other ppl think of me here as much as I did back home. I'm just more relaxed and comfortable when it comes to appearance, what I wear etc. I don't think my personality has changed and I haven't heard any comments about my behaviour changing from my friends and family.

I found a recipe for homemade quark on wikipedia, when looking it up to see what it was.

It might be worth trying to make it, if you have a real hankering for it.
I have a recipe for quark..actually a couple of them. The home made kind just isn't as nice and smooth

I miss many Finnish and Scandinavian foods. It's just not possible to get certain foods and ingredients here. I've found crisp bread and some Finnish candy in the local stores and delis and then there is the Scandinavian shop too but it's way too expensive. My mum sends me quite a lot of stuff like salmiac and Finnish chocolates and I know a few websites that sell Finnish foods too. I was surprised to find Finnish licorice at a Greek deli here. I can't wait til they'll open an IKEA store here cuz IKEA usually has some Scandinavian foods available. Decent bread and a variety of dairy products are the most difficult to find. I've noticed that German and Russian bakeries have good bread and the German and Dutch delis sell a wide variety of dairy products you can't get anywhere else here. I also tried making quark myself once (I miss quark most of all dairy products!)...let's just say I think I'll head to the German deli next time

I've found some cool people/friends through MySpace. There are many interesting groups too. Of course there is a ton of weirdos too but I just ignore them. MySpace def has it good and bad sides.
