    Uh oh! Do not trust the lawyers here. Call NVC to check your case status in 7 days. See what they have to say. Once you know that your case is sent to the embassy, you will be able to request your case status without paying for pin code yet (use the form on embassy website). Then buy the code and schedule an interview. You are right you may know your interview date in three weeks. Good luck...
