If I buy a house in the USA for us to live in before going there is that good for the case or not? ... What are the implications?

I have been reading some old posts about photo size and the questions weren't really resolved. Can someone advise if they should be 2" x 2" or if not, then what are the correct dimensions?

Hi there, if you go to the Example Forms (second blue line at the top of the Visa Journey page), they have the format that they need. You can get all others you might need from there too.

well, I am the beneficiary and we went to primary school together in NZ. We have both been married, raised a family, divorced and re-met online at the end of 2009... believe me even after all that... this process does not get any easier, but in the end it will be worth it

we didn't discover this website until the I-129F and some docs had been sent, and as I notice others have, were misdirected by other websites which didn't give such complete information. The worst of it being that we had all docs available but understood from info we had already received that these weren't required until later in the process. There seem to be many inconsistencies with timing etc but I am now glued to VJ. Did you send your following docs direct to California?

My initial filing was December 22, 2010. I only send the I129F form, I-134(not required) with supporting evidence, G135A with photos, my birth certificate, copy of passport entries showing travel to the Philippines, copy of my divorce order. Not too many items were missing like letters of intent from both of us, proof of meeting and possibly ongoing relationship items and her husbands death certificate. I highly recommend studying this website concerning your needs and following it exactly. There is a lot of knowledge to be gained here. Experience is everything during this journey and some here have a lot of it. Use that experience, because I did not and it cost me so much in aspirin. I sent the missing documents to the CSC which is reviewing my case. I don't think sending them caused the early review because other December filers have sent me private messages stating their petitions were reviewed and they have received RFEs.

I have a similar situation having sent documents after having sent the I-129F but the application only went on Mar31 so no response other than the NOA1 so far. Did you sent the additional information (75 pieces) to the Texas lockbox or directly to California?

You don't need the Proof of Relationship at this stage. Just proof that you two have met within the last two years.
What qualifies as having seen each other in the last two years as opposed to proof of relationship?

Also, I have a 20yr old daughter that turns 21 in August so I am concerned that the process doesn't take too long.

Thanks, yes I have this list now..... so am working towards having copies of everything ready to go.
It is very thorough.

Nothing else? Did you send payment?
Yes, we sent payment. Check has been cleared and we were told it had gone to Vermont.
-
We sent the I-129F, G-1145 E Notification Form
-
There's no real system in place to facilitate something like that.
RFEs aren't really a big deal. Once they receive it back they'll approve you straight away, so it'll only really delay your case a couple of weeks.
-
ok thanks for your help ... we will wait for the RFE. (hopefully not too long)
-
We sent the I-129F leaving some information out of the pack. Is there any point in sending the additional information to Texas or on to Vermont where the file is now.... or just wait for the RFE? We just want to do what is going to avoid any delays but wouldn't want to lose the additional supporting documents if it doesn't connect with our original I-129F application which they already have.
-
Thank you that's very helpful .... I also wondered if there is any point in sending the other information earlier or if it is better to wait until receiving the RFE as this could cause a delay? Or whether the other information will never connect with our original I-129F application and get lost somewhere?

Does anyone know what happens if you send the I-129F without some supporting documents? They werent put in the envelope but we have been told the application has been sent to Vermont and the check has been banked.
WE APPROVED!!!
