He specifically requested that there shouldn't be a footboard coming up high so his feet could still dangle. I complied with that request. The headboard complaint is new. I like headboard, they stop the pillows from falling.
A man shouldn't complain if a woman wants a padded headboard. After all it not ..........

Doing fairly well. The wife became a citizen last year, and just a couple months ago re-acquired Philippines citizenship. Its nice to know the final nail is in the coffin of all the immigration paperwork. In seven years we'll be doing it all in reverse, when we move to the Philippines.
I am kind of curious how my new vehicle is going to handle in the snow this winter. My wife finally talked me into retiring my 2004 Durango, so I replaced it with a new Ford Escape. I doubt its going to be as good with the less clearance, but hopefully it will be half decent in handling unless the snow gets too deep.

That is why it is best to let OLD topics die and fade away.
No kidding, calling my entire post false because USPS rules had changed from 4 years ago is a little much anyhow.

I was only mentioned it because they saw them get denied while they were there.
I would bet 96% of tourist visas get denied... care takers or not.
Once saw Bourney post that the stats say 25% of visas are denied at USEM. But that throws work, family, k-1 and tourist all together. I'd like to see those stats broken out.
I'd also guess there was a lot more going on than just the education background of those K-1s that got denied that day.
-
Tourist visas wouldn't be processing through the IV unit.
yes, but the rumor mill in the Philippines would tie it all together as one unit, the US embassy.
-
Oh, that would be cruel
I'd rather let them be jealous of my trip
let them be jealous of your tired worn out feet until you get back and can gloat over the pictures.

Speaking of commies, last night, I was trying to leave. This ####### follows me all the way out to the sidewalk, screaming in my ###### ear from 2 feet away. Telling me how he knows this guy that knows me. Ib don't v ###### care! I'm like, GTF away from me you #######...
Was he saying he will redeport you back to Hong Kong?
-
That ###### is a fraud too!
Just fishing stories...
Well we all know that. She probably has extra parts she's still hiding from you. Its easy to hire a fook to give a baby and fake a pregnancy
So are those fishing stories lies, damn lies or statistics?
-
Momentarily, I'm going to bail, and go fishing.
And tomorrow, I'm going to go fishing...
And Thursday, I'm going to go fishing again...
no commie war stories for 3 days?
-
10 days
Well, 9, but I'm going to Warsaw at night next Thursday and we start our trip on Friday's morning
My coworkers can't wait to get the pictures from this trip. They demanded to get at least couple every day
Woohoo in the count down now.
Send them pictures of your tired feet every day. Nothing else, just feet pictures.
She's a fraud!
So is stretch!
I'm not kidding...
Yes we all know that spending all your money and not cooking is proof they're not frauds. And if you want a woman like that, why look outside of America? Oh that's right, you found her in America
-
Why are you insulting my friend Cary?
She does too. She makes me eat more delicious home cooked from scratch food than I want to eat all the time. And now she's starting to demand more favors in the bedroom. I'm not a machine I tell her, but its not doing any good.
Take a picture of me and tell them you went to Hong Kong instead...

Mine is a nurse as well we passed.
It was scary hearing the deniles first hand my fiancee is a nurseas well and she was so scared because it seemed the councilors didn't like nurses today for some reason.
They have nothing against nurses I'm sure. But I bet they get a lot of nurses and caregivers applying to tourist visas which they deny. Which is probably how the rumors they hate nurses came about.

Ah ####### all of a sudden the barometric pressure is falling...
tighten your belt so your barometric pressure doesn't fall.

I did see 2 filipinas denied today while in line both due to the fact the officer told them the annulment had to be final before the k-1 was submitted to the USCIS . Also off topic a bit but 2 more were denied for being licensed care takers the officers pretty much told them they no if your a nurse or care taker it's usually not a true relationship but a faster way to get into the states to work. We were number 11 in line and 5 in front failed and 6 passed including us.
That's an extremely high percentage of denials of K-1's you saw. Way out of the norm. You must be free to marry when the K-1 is filed. Unless the last i is dotted and t crossed, you're not free to marry. But those were people depending on the annulment, not divorced Filipina. I also no many nurse and caretakers that have came on K-1's. There's nothing unusable about that. I think you're hearing one of those "they say" rumors that have no bearing on the facts. Like you need to deposit show money to get a visitors visa to the USA.

As Hank mentioned, the notice might be your final decree. You'll need to contact the county court where the divorce was filed to be sure. Its also where you would get a divorce decree if its not the final notice. My own local court system, does not mail the final decree, you have to get a copy from them.
If you have a valid divorce in the USA, or any country, that is good enough for the embassy in Manila. You don't need an annulment unless you want to have a new marriage recognized in the Philippines. So you'll be illegible for a K-1 visa as long as the divorce was finalized in the USA.
Hank, on behalf of the OP, Given that she is still married in the Philippines how does that get treated when it's time to get her CFO? Will CFO care? I know USEM will recognize the divorce decree but will she actually be able to exit the Philippines once she has a K-1 way down the road?
Its done all the time. CFO seems to accept it just fine. Although the marriage will never be recognized there, they let the K-1 visa holders pass even though no annulment has been made in the Philippines.

Life has been good. Getting ready to retire in a few months. My marriage has worked out well and when I retire I’ll be moving to the Philippines. Our plans had been not to do this for another year but both of our employers are moving to other states. Doesn’t seem worth the effort to move for a year. So
retirement now it is.
Just heading to the airport in NYC after our last in the USA vacation.
