It's clear you don't know anything about the Deferred Action Program. Go learn something since you will be waiting, waiting, waiting (like all the rest of us) you have time on your hands: http://www.dhs.gov/deferred-action-childhood-arrivals .
FYI wait times are long from a combination of factors, not just this new program. It is mostly because USCIS has laid off half their employees and dramatically cut funding in the last 2 years. That you can thank Congress for.

You can also make her an authorized user on your cards. If don't have to give her the cards but use them and pay them off to establish credit for her. I did this with my husband and he now has excellent credit.

It sure is. You check block d in part two, (Basis for petition), of the I-751 - " I entered into the marriage in good faith, but the marriage was terminated through divorce or annulment".
I think the divorce has to be final, and you have to prove the good faith part. Lots of folks remove conditions this way.

Oh and for people like sweetieone. All things are possible if you believe. Like I stated opportunity knocked and we opened the door. Second guess but things happen for a reason. It did not matter to go into detail because everyone is not married to an entertainer so right off the bat knew everyone else could not go the route that we are going! So this is just as legit as your relationship. Good luck to the rest of you and may a special opportunity open for you as well.

Ok so there is no pity because it is the type of visa that he is coming over on and will be allowed to stay. Unless your spouse has a certain profession it will not happen for them. So no I cannot help anyone else out. I did not even help my spouse, it is because of who he is in Jamaica and his profession. Lets just say he is in the entertainment business so he will be entering legally and again will be allowed to stay this is why I say 1. We will not need to re file the i130 and will have his interview here in the states. Hope this helps peoples curiosity. Just made a good choice when I married my boo! This has already been confirmed with immigration and an attorney as well. Please all have a great day!

    Sweetieone,
Did you contact NVC back, what has the sup said?
Second everyone goes through these emotions, you have to be the striong one, because there is nothing he can do but wait.
Third, your problem is not that hard, you could be dealing with the fact that there is no way your husband could migrate, there are folks who are dealing with this issue.
Fourth, you can visit your husband anytime, even if it's a long weekend. Airfare to Ja is reasonable, think about those who has to pay $3000 per roundtrip flight.
Take it from me, this is the easy part. The hard part doesn't begin until he arrives. We have been married 5.5 years. Marriage requires alot of work.
Hell immigration was a breeze, married to a Jamaican makes you wants to scream. LOL, but it's worth it in the end.

that's awful, i'm really sorry. it's easy for people to get on their high horse, but i think most people would feel the same as you if their partner was hurt, scared and undergoing surgery! i don't know anything about the jo'bury consulate but if i was in your position i would probably just book a flight and try get there as a visitor - bringing proof he is in hospital, and of your scheduled interview etc. good luck and hope he gets well soon.

My fiancee just called from onboard her flight from Manila to here... we are SO excited! As she was talking, I heard the flight attendant say "we are cleared for take-off" and we had to end the call.
27 hours from now, she'll be here! Dunno if I'll be able to sleep tonight or not, but I sure have a lot of house cleaning left to do tomorrow!

I just wanted to say "hello" and to thank whomever started (sponsored) this site. It is wonderful. I also, wanted to tell my story. I am so much in love.
I met him two years ago, while vacationing at one of those all inclusive resorts. He worked there as one of the lifeguards. Anyway, me and my gfs were swimming and decided to go over to the deep end . . . well our lifeguard was asleep. I went over and woke him up with "wake the f.... up and splashed water on him. When he did he said he saw the woman of his dreams (me). Wasnt for me. During my first stay he was sooooo very persistent, doing everything from ringing my hotel room phone off the hook (literally) to sending persons to me with messages. I blew him off. This was Jamaica, the fun place and I did not take him seriously. I said I would meet him on two different occassions and stood him up both times. He waited for me for about 3-4 hours each time before giving up. My last day . . . I actually did meet with him only because I felt bad for standing him up. "making me eat grass" as he puts it. Well, during our first date I realized that he was a little different . . (countryman) and I was apprective of that. We started talking on the phone and he was serious about me. He was willing to have and make a real committment to me. Since then I have been to Jamaica more times then I really care to go (including going back next month).
I wanted to see if what we had is real or if I was wasting my time. I went and lived with him and his family for 2 months in the Jungle. Now let me tell you . . . if that is not love I dont know what is. There was no TV, internet and little food. We washed our clothoes by hand and hung them up on a hill (ringing them out was a nitemare). We had NO running water . . we had to pull water up the hill in buckets and hot water was a memory. Cooking consisted of what we killed or was able to pull out of the ground ("yellow yam") and we wont even mention the bugs, insects and the fact that it was mango season and the flies were out by the millions (I am not lying, I am sure I ate a few). But in spite of all of this I throughly enjoyed by self and have been back twice since. His family adores me and I am basically known as Brooks' woman and not my name. I love this man with all my being. He shows me continually how much I mean to him by everything he does . . .
I am now in the process of K-1. So that is my love story. Thank you for reading.

I think she's waiting on the infamous Packet 3. In my opinion, if she doesnt know about this packet 3 - which there is nothing wrong with that, you're speaking a foriegn langauge to her. If I didnt have you guys to break it down step by step, I would have know idea what he's waiting on and what the heck is a DS230. Sounds like the newest version of Xbox. A&K has helped me along the way over the past 3-4 weeks, but by reviewing her timeline, she's waiting for packet 3. You should forget about it coming in the mail. Here's the advice I got:
1)Get your case number from the NVC.
2)Email the embassy the completed form DS230 - provide the case number, beneficary name, DOB & petitioners DOB etc
3)Request the appoinment letter in the email - he'll need this for the medical
    4)Schedule medical
    5)Get police report in Kingston
    6)Get Non-impediment certificate/letter
Sit and wait. How did I do A???

What?? No that's not what its about at all..... She got very lucky.. OP: This easily could have been a case of uprooting someone who changed their life to come be with you in a new country only to have you say "sorry, I made a mistake.. I led you and myself on for 8+months.. I'm bailing so it sucks to be you" ..... you did wait three whole days.. You could have ended up ruining someones life, instead you got lucky because your choice turned out to be dog who deserved it so it saved you having guilt.

Yes. We're getting married in July and refiling in September so we can interview shortly after April 23rd. Luckily, I'm a teacher, so I'll be living there this summer.

Thank you for all of the advice. And yes, I do want to get married, regardless of the outcome. If it doesn't work out for us here, I'll be heading down there. It's not ideal, but we're in this together, no matter what.
