  1. Hello All,

My wife had her interview a few hours ago and she was told to pick up her visa on Wednesday June 1st. She said the interview lasted about 5 minutes total. All that anticipation and worry for 5 minutes-crazy. I hope this means we are good to go. The whole immigration process lasted from October 22nd to May 26th. A solid turn around time in my opinion. Thanks for everyone's help and advice and good luck!

  2. Hello All,

My wife's interview is scheduled for May 26th. Any one with experience and/or advice for the Beirut, Lebanon embassy that can offer info is greatly appreciated. Experience with the interviewer, questions, atomosphere, whether or not they notify you immediatly of result, etc. Any and all info please!

My advice is to simply not bother with any affidavit that affirms nothing more than that somebody was at a ceremony or party. For an affidavit to mean anything, it needs to affirm what somebody knows about the evolution of your relationship. Even then, the simply are NOT required. Your evidence of time spent together, communication evidence and photos are sufficient at the petition stage.

  4. To request the ORIGINALs back from USCIS... you need to send the exact copy of the requested document. if you dont have it then you might as well continue your route to the NVC using certified or other originals that you will get from the issuing post. It's a straight shot answer and requesting the document. I've submitted my request to get my originals back used for my parents case.. it has been 1 month and still awaiting the response so they can be used in the "other" pending case we have - F2A

    Thank you RICARDO4EVA2.

  5. Hi All,

Congrats to all who have been approved and good luck to all still waiting. I made a big mistake by sending my original marriage certificate and my wife's orignal birth certificate to USCIS with my I-130 package. Too bad I found VJ after the fact. Well now I know the orignals are actually needed for the NVC stage. So my question is, does anyone have any experience in this type of situaion? Darnell and Loto both gave me some good advice already. From what I can tell I have two, maybe three options: Call USCIS and see if they can pull out the necessary docs and send to NVC, or file form G-884 which requests USCIS to send back the oriignals. Just not sure how long the process of getting docs back would be. As a last result I can try to possibly have my wife get a new orignal birth certificate and marriage license made and sent to me. Any insight? Thank you.

  6. Hi guys/gals,

Not a CSC TSC CSC transfer, but figured it would help to know anyway. Just got my text and email notification that NOA2 was approved! They said they mailed the notice today, the 17th. My NOA1 date was October 22nd. Less than 4 months, I got lucky. Now I have to figure out what to do with NVC since I sent USCIS my originals by mistake(duh!). Darnell and Loto both gave me some good advice, just wondering if anyone made that error as well. Good luck to everyone, this must be a good sign for Oct/Nov filers. God bless.
