There was more to hitler than the holocaust. For example, his rise to power partially due to whipping Germany into a nationalistic fervor by blaming all of its problems on non-german influences.

I would think it would mix very well. Muslims have a tendency to be conservative.

There are very few native Hawaiian's left. There are more white people in Hawaii than native Hawaiians. I try to avoid thinking of racism in terms of black and white. There are billions of people in the world who are neither black nor white. Racism exists everywhere. Pick any culture or group of people and I think we can find examples of racism against other groups and by other cultures without looking too hard.
I guess we focus here mostly on racism in America. Most people can accept that systemic racism existed for many years in America. Many people overlook that the remnants of that system are still prevalent even if the system is not. It's hard to reconcile for some. It's easier to invent the myths of reverse racism and the oppressed white guy and imagine that everything is even now.

I'm no expert on Cuban culture but I am pretty sure that being abusive, rude, selfish and mean is not part of it. From what you've described OP, this guy sounds like an a-grade jerk who needs to have his a** and his lobster booked on the first flight home. This isn't homesickness. This is emotional abuse and him taking advantage of your nature.
You sound like a loving and kind person. If nothing else, you deserve so much better than what he is bringing to the table. Get rid of him and fall in love with someone who appreciates and cherishes your love, not takes advantage of it.

When were you planning to get married?
I know it's only been two weeks, but my impression is that unless he gets his act together and tries to treat you with a bit more of respect, it's kind of useless to keep on going like this.
Sit down with him. Tell him you see he is not happy, and that he is free to go back to Cuba if he wishes - you'll buy his ticket. Don't be overly emotional. If he's in love with you, this will be a reality check.
My impression is that if you keep on feeding his ego, he will not bother to make any effort to make your relationship work.

Sorry- but the gist of the comment is still valid- using "you don't understand xxxx culture..." As a justification for terrible boorish behavior is not an a adult conversation.
Don't go "on vacation" to Cuba together, have a discussion, if he won't participate, and acknowledge your side, start to make preparations to just send him home and cut your losses.

Agreed, toddler behavior not cultural. Any discussion about it ends in him telling me I do not understand Cubans and Cuban culture.

    I agree with maria.
i moved to the states 2 months ago and i can relate to the cultural shock thing but i would never disrespect my husband like that, there are mature ways to express yourself and constantly yelling complaining and demanding just shows how immature a person is.

    1) Tell him you've bought a surprise vacation back to Cuba for the two of you because he's feeling homesick.
    2) Wait until he's sleeping
    3) Buy the next available ticket back to the USA for you only.
This is not a love relationship. It's a slave and their master.

First of all: stop the charity. He DOES NOT need clothes for over $1000 dollar (unless he brought no clothes at all). I am not making money at the moment and I'm relying on my husband for things I need and I would never ask him to buy me expensive things.
And you have to tell him that it doesn't matter if you're a couple or strangers: it's "please" and "thank you".
Stop trying so hard to please him if he's treating you awful, it only shows him that you're willing to take it and his behavior won't stop. He is acting like a child so treat him like one: set boundaries.
As long as you're not showing him that his behavior is unacceptable he is going to keep disrespecting you and will walk all over you. Put your foot down, you can do it! I hope the two of you can work this out.

I'm sorry to say this, but his behavior is not about being homesick. He is just completely disrespectful to you and you should stop serving him everything on a silver platter and bring him back to earth.

What a bunch of whiners. Seriously, they can't answer uncomfortable questions without getting ruffled and acting like children how the heck are they going to behave on the world stage and in dealings with other countries over serious matters? These candidates just proved they can't be calm, cool, and collected under pressure. I would hate to see how they would react if they were put under pressure on an international stage shameful! None of these candidates are tough enough for the job. They are a joke to the world.

I believe the moderators did an exceptional job, considering whom they had to work with. I remember how nice Trump was to Megyn Kelly during the first debate.

Moderating a GOP debate is like cleaning out a monkey cage at the zoo. It's doesn't matter how well you do the job, your going to end up covered in poop.

if ted cruz wanted some attention, he should have answered the question directly instead of crying about the question. does he want to work together and make sure we don't have another government shutdown? from his answer, which i'll admit i didn't fully listen to once he started whining (too busy laughing), i have to gather he doesn't much care about actually doing his job but instead crying about how unfair political life is. poor fella.

I agree she may have been naive in the beginning but when she realized he was already married, she continued to be with him despite wife and kids. Sorry, I don't have empathy for cheaters and the people who are with married people. He may have manipulated her, but she knew full well that he was someone else's husband.
