Quick update...

I moved to NJ 2 weeks ago for work so I submitted the AR11 and had an info pass appt. this morning. I was advised my case is still at NBC and hadn't been sent to NY yet so I should expect an interview letter within the next few weeks, and I'll be scheduled at the Mount Laurel office.

I walked in today for my fingerprints since the office was closed on Friday. I was in and out in less than 10 mins. I didn't have to wait at all. The staff at the office said they were happy to have something to do because they were bored. Apparently, things have really quietened down for them since the fees increased and now that the economy is doing so poorly. I guess that's some good news for all of us with pending applications.

I was scheduled for biometrics 12/26 but when I got to the office it was closed. Sign on the door said come back within 87 days.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised since USCIS always manages to screw something up for me.

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you know I received my new corrected/edited green card.

They have fixed their mistake and it only took f-o-u-r (4) !!!

So I sent the I-90 back on 10/13, didn't hear anything at all so I called about 4 weeks ago; then I received a letter last week stating they had received the incorrect green card and the I-90. The online case status was updated a couple of times last week, most recently on 02/13 advising that the new card had been mailed. Today, it arrived. YIPPEE!

The GC states I've been a resident since 08/05 but the card is valid until 02/16.

My advice to everyone waiting is if you haven't heard anything info since you sent the card back, whether it be a new NOA or just a letter; CALL & ask (demand) to speak with an Immigration Officer!!!

Just wanted to let you guys know I called the mis-info line about 3 weeks ago to ask why I hadn't received a NOA after I returned the GC. I was lucky enough to speak to a nice Immigration OFFICER who looked in the system using my alien # (as I didn't receive a new case #) and told me there was no record of them receiving the GC but she was going to email NBC to find out what the story was...

Today, I received a letter from NBC stating they have received the I-90 application and their records show the GC was issued w/incorrect info because of an admin. error. According to the letter, they will issue a new card within 2-3 weeks. So I'll keep you posted. Please pray the GC will be correct this time!!!!!

So my advice is, in order to get good info, you should call the mis-info line & tell the idiot who answers the phone that yesterday you were speaking with an OFFICER but you didn't have your alien #, so the Officer told you to call back w/the alien # so they can properly search their records, that way you'll get transferred to someone who hopefully knows how to get the problem solved. That's what I did.

I'll let you know if I receive anything else.
