Case Complete to Interview July 2019

Hi All, Just wanted to inform everyone that my wife has finally made it to the US today, 11th June. Visa approved from Mumbai consulate, 31st May. Thank you everyone for your help along this long (sometimes frustrating) journey, and wishing the best of luck to those waiting for their interviews now. Immigration was quite easy - asked her basic questions, like how long have you been married etc. The only hiccup was that with the new "IV docs in CCD" stamp on the visa, there's no physical envelope to be handed over to the Immigration officer, and he was a little confused with that, so they took her to another room inside, and there once he had confirmation from another officer, they stamped her passport.

Hey! I just wanted to let you know that we got approved today! NOA1 March 4th NOA2 June 11st The new website still shows ‘case received’, the old website shows ‘case approved’, the App as well, that is connected to the old website. We didn’t expect it and that makes it even better!

Yeah that's what I thought. Basically wife is eligible for AoS but they thought that since she is US citizens wife she has rights just based on that. We seen this on VJ forum - US citizens thinking that just being married to foreigner gives them some kind of right to be untouchable in the US. Claiming that USCIS was racist was probably to just cover the fact that the couple knew something was wrong from the start but they didnt want to admit that. Suing USCIS definitely was a bad choice and everyone on this forum who considered that, should read this.

Got my green card in hand yesterday! Just wanted to point out that the USCIS tracker updated to 'Card was delivered to me' on a Saturday when it wasn't actually here. Took a closer look with the provided tracking number on the USPS website and it was actually 'Card was delivered to Agent' probably the mail office or something. Then I got another notification on the Monday 'Card was delivered to me' (so the same update) and I went down and it was there.

    Definately not the whole story.

~~Moved to Process and Procedures, from Progress Reports.~~ Follow Greenbaum advice and get those swimmer on ice. Medical reasons are a good reason to ask for an expedite. Get the doctors reports and go for it. I wanted to like your post because it is very good advice but not like that you are dealing with this too. Thoughts are with you both.

It does seem to me also it's been a slow week. But is it slow just because people haven't posted here of having received their NOA2, or do we in fact know it's slow over at the processing centers? My NOA1 was March 20th, and I've been thinking if I get my NOA2 by June 20th I'll feel extremely lucky. Considering that, however, I hope to hear something this week. At any rate, I feel it helps to keep as busy as possible, find solidarity with others that are waiting, and we can all share our stories. My fiance and I tend to be pretty good at waiting but yesterday we both broke down a bit talking to each other on whatsapp. I think the hardest thing is thinking of all these days that go by that I am without her, and I cannot get those days back. But at least I'm still doing what I can for now to get ready for her arrival such as getting my home ready for her and discussing volunteer opportunities with her, how she can improve her English when she's here, and thinking of some people she might make friends with.

No way that's the whole story. I certainly don't know the whole story, but there's a lot more going on than just a "white husband" or the beneficiary's nationality. They seem to have questioned either the legality of the wife's marriage and/or her marriage history (not just if the marriage itself is bona fide). This isn't something they normally do unless there is evidence indicating that the marriage isn't legal or that there was at least 1 prior undisclosed marriage. I say this because they explicitly requested evidence regarding the beneficiary being free to marry, which is absolutely not something they request unless they believe she was not free to marry. The immediate thought is either a customary wedding occurred in the past or that she applied for a visa previously and stated she was married. But there's no way to know for sure. But something tipped them off to even look at that route. The evidence provided appears to have been insufficient (since proving you are single is trying to prove a negative). Or maybe there was something off in their marriage certificate or records? It's also kind of weird that they married in 2015 while she was in legal status, but they never filed any papers until 2017. That sticks out as unusual to me. It's not wrong per-se since she was in the US legally, but it's not something you usually see. They also believe that their lawsuit made USCIS mad, and that's what triggered the NOID. Personal feelings are not a reason for denial...much more likely they reviewed the case and found the beneficiary ineligible for adjustment. They also believe the IO promised an approval notice. No such promise can actually exist with any sort of value behind it.

In case anyone wanted to know about timelines, my husband and I had our interview last Tuesday the 4th and changed to new card being produced the next day. Today the status changed to “card was picked up by USPS” and gave a tracking number. According to the number it should be here by Wednesday!

A lot of the "halfness" is probably because the reporters, and perhaps also their editors, are as clueless about the intricacies of legal immigration as is the rest of the unwashed population. The news people therefore don't know what questions to ask that will yield answers for a complete story.

Case Complete to Interview July 2019

I know I will have an interview in July.
  21. 4 points
It's worth a try. Personally I would wait until you know more about the situation - treatment options, side effects, effectiveness, scan results, prognosis, etc. The initial diagnosis is difficult to deal with, so try not to start stressing youurself over other items as well...absorb it one thing at a time. Medical reasons are certainly eligible for an expedite, although the specifics and evidence do matter. There should be a strong case as to why the beneficiary is needed. Chemo can be tolerable or awful. The worst is typically around 3 cycles in or so, although the specific drug/drugs and how they impact one's body are never really too predictable. Good luck and best wishes.

I do see it’s based off of Case complete however I’ve seen cases where if two people have same CC or similar CC date, that other person whom has the earlier PD date will get the interview first . For example PERSON #1: PD: May 3,2018 CC:May 6,2019 PERSON #2: PD: February 1,2019 CC: May 10,2019 **Most of the time this happens because Person # 1 Uscis petition took longer to be approved . More than likely Person 1 will receive an interview first !

It's no use you folks trying to hide in a brand new thread under another name. ...eventually I'll find youse....it only took me 4 pages 😆 I'm hoping everything is fine & groovy with everyone. Still awaiting appointment for fingerprinting, husband's liver wasn't up for being an easy participant in the therapy option we were hoping to get started on(nothing's ever simple it would seem) thankfully they have something else which they might be able to employ as a stepping stone to convince his liver to play ball. ....trying to get it all scheduled is its own headache of course. ... ....still haven't got my hair done but thinking about it, I'm unsure of what to ask for, it's difficult enough trying to find a new hairdresser but my hair is so different to how it was before the chemo......I know I should probably just go get a consultation. ... .....no id/drivers license as yet..... Feeling a bit meh but doing what I can to stay upbeat.

Case Complete to Interview July 2019

The chances of people that already had their interviews to be looking at this particular thread of the forum would be slim so that is why I suggested a different thread (or maybe the consulate reviews because thankfully a lot of people share their interview experiences 👍), was only trying to help but I guess it did not come across like that.

This is just beautiful. Everything is happening just like I said over and over and over. Now get out of this thread and get the thread for your country. That's where you're going to get answers about your next steps. It's just stupid logic to think you will ask a question about your country and no on here knows what the @@@@ you are talking about lead alone you are going to get the right answer. Go up to the blue ribbon, select forums, then scroll down 3/4 of the page and find your sub-forum. Begin asking questions of others who are going through the same embassy as you. Someone from Germany, Spain or Syria is not going to know what you should do next because each embassy has different requirements.

As always it is just one side of the story, and it's from the side that is frustrated. It will always be biased, as will most "journalists" writing it. Something, like most others agree, something big is missing in this story. Just more race-baiting and bad mouthing the US immigration system as always.

Just realized I didn’t add much info - 217 days since we sent off the application, 214 since USCIS received our case, We received RFIE on April 16, took us a while to send it back out but they received it May 13, case changed to “ready to be scheduled” on Jun 5, and now “interview scheduled” Jun 11 LFO is Long Island, NY still no EAD/AP

Definitely an emotional process, more so than I ever imagined it would be. There are good days and bad and we just have to take each as they come. This site helps in strange ways for me. Even as we wait, and keep up with times and estimates, it's actually kind of nice to see others post about their approvals. I'm happy for those who move on to the next step in this emotional process. I'm sure we all share in their excitement and just have be patient and realize our day will come too.

    K1 Visa Approved TODAY!

My worry wouldn’t be around wasting $400 - I just wouldn’t trust RapidVisa to do a good job, having read all the horror stories about them. I honestly think the best person to handle my AOS would be me and my future husband - as no one would care more it being done correctly and successfully than us. The stranger at RapidVisa definitely won’t - so I’d worry they’d be more likely to rush and make mistakes...

That's not a typical reaction from a USCIS officer at AOS. And why would that officer say something purportedly racist if the couple's lawyer was (as it sounds) right there in the interview? Something major is missing.

Thanks so much for all your replies and supporting words..Yes when biopsy was on the radar, I froze those swimmers already a total of 5 vails of them so it should be good ..I have also emailed my attorney who filed for us for the fiance visa on whether she can help file for expedite of the visa on medical grounds. Hi All, Alight, so I decided to post on here to contribute because I too check this site everyday. I have a NOA date March 15th and the estimate for the NOA 2 is "Any Day Now". I too am being highly optimistic that we may hear something this week and feel that hope is important in a process where we have no one to check-in with other than this community. It seems to have slowed down in the past week, BUT I am optimistic y'all, lets hope for some BIG action this week!

It's free to try an expedite so you may want to go through the motions. In my opinion, it's not likely you would get an expedite but you never know. Your situation is not life threatening and immigration folks don't care about family planning. I feel for you as I'm having to monitor PSA levels every few months. Wish you good luck with you medical situation.
