  1. hi everyone! just wanted to ask, has there been any updates with jan 2022 cases? have they started working on any of them?
  2. as far as i know they got the number on the spreadsheet by scanning cases manually, which could lead to some errors. if by end of september there were 55k cases according to USCIS and 7-8k were processed so far, someone with an NOA1 of Oct1 2022 should have around 47k cases ahead of them. So either we're missing something or the 38k number is inaccurate.
  3. Any idea what the current backlog is since September 30 (the last quarterly report)? the report said there were 55k cases pending, but one of the spreadsheets says only 38k pending as of october, and i don't get how they got that number
  4. Totally agreed I just wanted to add that not only have they started with November, people with NOA1s at the end of November and even early December have heard back. So we're definitely getting shorter wait times but also its such a large range of varying wait times between people (from 16 - 13 months) so the USCIS will only report the shorter wait times when they become a bit more uniform, imo. I hope that's a bit of positivity your way
  5. do you guys know when the quarterly report will be released? the one from Oct '22 - Jan2023?
  6. yeah i care about number of cases processed/week too, and I'd rather the backlog be RFEs than untouched cases. I'm guessing we now have approx between 30-35K cases ahead of us now
  7. thats amazing news! I think RFEs count cuz its still a case that has been opened and processed in some way. Thank you for the update!
  8. yes i think so, "Total (previously untouched) cases opened : 597" which includes all statuses for those curious i got this from the nov '21 thread
  9. Does anyone know how many cases total were done last week and yesterday? heard last week was 597 cases but unsure of the number.
  10. Yup, i think it is, and given the trends its more likely to pick up speed than the spousal visa. And since you've already started the process for k-1 might as well stick with it rather than starting over
  11. Yess you should probably do that soon, it takes a couple of months for them to get visas too, so better be prepared for the best case scenario too!
  12. makes sense yeah! Right yes, my bf and I have an idea of where we want it and when and a general outline & family members already got the B1 visa to attend the wedding, but we don't have photographers or makeup artists booked or anything. Pretty reasonable to ask for wedding plans besides that, fair enough.
  13. Have there been denials that were kinda ridiculous or were they all legit/major things that applications missed? Also wedding planning before having a visa or even applying sounds silly lol how does that even work .. besides just knowing date/location
  14. Thank you so much, you've been very helpful! I think we have a similar timeline, hopefully by the summer the processing times decrease substantially or at the very least have stopped increasing. Not sure if withdrawals are increasing but hopefully that also makes a dent in the backlog. thanks again
