  1. Hey! Yes, I received my green card on December 9th. Sorry, I should have updated the status here. As for the "submitted on" thing, I have no idea what it means.
  2. Hi there. I have not received the physical green card yet. The case status is the same as when I paid the fee. My social security card arrived within a week from POE.
  3. Hi guys! joining the thread... 09/09/22: Paid the green card fee 09/11/22: Entered the US through Houston 09/19/22: Social Security Card received in the mail. One thing I've noticed when checking. my case status online is that it shows the payment date as the 10th, and it also says submitted on the 13th... Does anybody know what it means?
  4. there is a date of entry, however, on the CBP example, there's something other than CR1 written in ink. Mine only has cr1 in ink...
  5. Hi, just one silly question... My admission stamp, however, only has "CR1" written in ink on it. No expiry date or signature from the CBP officer whatsoever... so it looks slightly different than the image above from the CBP guidelines. Do you think I will have any trouble? :3
  6. Great!!! I will keep a copy on my laptop. I always imagined that airline staff would be aware of those procedures with so much travel between the US and Mexico. But you never know!!!! Thank you for the link.
  7. Thank you for your reply! A couple posted their experience with Spirit and American Airlines when trying to board a flight from Cancun back to the US. The ground staff didn't know anything about the endorsement on the visa. That's what worries me the most. 🤷🏻🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
  8. Hey guys, Does anyone here have any experience traveling in and out of the country before receiving the physical green card? I entered the US on a CR1 Immigrant visa that has the following statement: "Upon endorsement serves as temporary I-551 evidencing permanent residence for 1 year" However, I am not sure wether I should apply for a travel document or re entry permit before exiting the country. Does my passport and endorsement suffice the US travel requirements? How familiar are airlines (American Airlines specifically) when it comes to those procedures? I've heard stories of people being denied boarding by an uniformed airline staff when trying to .... I'll be flying in and out of Mexico City if that matters. e
  9. I would double-check with the panel physician and confirm they have sent the medical exams to the consulate. Your visa won't be printed until the consulate has received it.
  10. It's common for your CEAC status to be "refused" for a few days before your visa is printed and the status changes to "Issued". I would not worry about it. Congratulations on your visa approval.
  11. Thanks for the reply! Do you know if there's any way I can check on my social security application and see if it was submitted upon arrival by CBP?
  12. Hi guys, I've been following this site for quite a while now, but this is my first time posting here. I apologize in advance if I'm posting on the wrong topic. I had my interview at the Consulate in Rio on September 8th and entered the US on my CR1 visa on September 11 through Houston. At the POE the officer took me to secondary, where I waited for around 10 minutes when they handed me my passport back with the admission stamp. No questions asked or anything. My questions are: 1) Am I a permanent resident now or do I have to wait until I received the physical green card in the mail to be considered so? 2) Am I allowed to travel internationally with the endorsement on my IV CR1 visa? We booked a trip to Italy a few months ago when all of this was still up in the air, and now it's too late and expensive to cancel it. 3) I've read somewhere that CPB should have taken my fingerprints at POE, which of course didn't happen. Is that an actual rule? 4) Is there a way to check my SSN application status? I checked the box on my DS 260, but I've read stories here of people having to apply in person because the system didn't work. Sorry if those questions have been asked before. Thanks!
