  1. Ohh that sounds straightforward. Hope you will hear back soon!
  2. When did you submit? And what was the RFE for if I may ask?
  3. Does anyone know how quickly they are processing RFEs after the documents /materials are submitted?
  4. Thanks for the tips. We actually got my sister to joint sponsor. I have the copy of my own part but did not copy her part. In any case, I suspect that partially it is because I lived abroad and did not have US income. I did file a tax return in the US so listed the amount as "income" on the form, but I ultimately did not pay taxes on them in the US since I paid abroad already. I supplemented with assets though. My sister however does have US income so not sure why that doesn't work as well... Will double check but maybe also seek legal advice on this...
  5. oh wow thanks for info! I just got the letter for RFE for I-864 too. It doesn't make any sense as we gave them all the info that would prove ability to sponsor. so really at a loss of how else to resubmit the same thing...
  6. Hope everything is going well with your applications! May I ask if your RFE was complicated? We just saw an update in our case that a RFE was sent. I know we just have to be patient and wait for it to come in the mail. But having never done it, I’m just so paranoid and anxious.
  7. My fiance had his interview yesterday. He somehow missed what they said in the end with English not being his first language. They took his passport, told him something about next week, and that was it. They didn’t hand him anything saying he was denied. I have been checking hourly on the website since but the case is still in Ready. Does anyone know generally how long it is updated, especially if approved?
  8. For the I-134, does anyone know if having enough assets is enough? I (the petitioner) is still employed outside of the US. So I don’t have a paid job there yet but I have enough over poverty line. So wondering if that is enough for now…
  9. Oh that is so strange. Hope it goes well DS-5535 form also seems strange. Wouldn’t all the info needed already be submitted in DS-160?
  10. It may depend on your embassy all communication was sent by the embassy for mine
  11. Sorry to clarify it is a copy of the passport page with the beneficiary personal details
  12. Not sure if this is the case with every embassy, but for mine, the embassy emailed me asking my fiancé to do DS-160. After that is done, I would need to email them a copy of the submission confirmation plus passport picture. It is then will they send info to my fiancé for interview, etc.
  13. True but the original post was more about getting a case number, which I took to assume the FTP people (we are talking about semantics here)
  14. Actually they did send me a physical letter. I already knew my case number before then though through inquiries as you said Join the thread with the month you got your NOA2. You will find people in similar boat Just wait
