  1. Hello everyone, Does anybody know what happens if NVC sends a case to the wrong embassy? Is there any way to change that? When we filled out the I-129F I was living in Spain BUT as my mailing address and embassy we gave them my Chilean address. By accident today we found out that our case was about to be sent to Spain. The officer on the phone told us she'll request a change of address to her supervisor. Any insights? TIA...
  2. Hi. Where did you read that and what policies are those?
  3. That's what I want, to go off and ignore this website but I can't help to get anxious about it. Thanks Benny4352
  4. Hi everyone. Maybe someone has a better idea of what going on with USCIS and can help me to understand better. Our case was approved on September 13th but we got our Notification letter yesterday. That's OK. But, I just checked on my "case status" again and now it says that our case was approved October 8!! 🤨😫 I don't know what to expect anymore. So now we need to wait for another month to hear news from NVC?? We've been already waiting for a month today from our first notification. So confusing 😕 Any insights? TIA
  5. I’m so excited for all of you!! 😊 I can’t describe how thrilled I was when we got ours. I couldn’t sit still for like and hour!! it was October 13th at 06.15 am California time!!! I couldn’t believe it. I live in Spain so I use to start up my day checking on the uscis even when they didn’t even start working 😆 and that Monday I looked around 2.00pm my time and nothing. Almost an hour later I saw the notification was there! It’s a mystery how it works, right?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s been a week since we got it and now we are praying to get the welcome letter ASAP. cheers!!!
  6. I wish I could help but I'm awful with numbers 😕. My fiance is the "clever one" in this relationship 😅😉 Thanks for all your help!
  7. Hi everyone. I'm so happy for all the ones who have got their NOA-1👏 I can only imagine how thrilled these guys are!! Do we first find out through the Case Check tool or do they first mail the letter to us? Best wishes for all!! 😊
  8. Hi everyone! Another February filler over here 👋 🙂. I'm currently living in Spain but the embassy in Chile will process the last part of our case. How can I know if the have a backlog? Should I call them? Wishing you all the best during this long, hard process ✌️
  9. That's another good option. It doesn't hurt to try, right? I'll see if they can give me more information regarding to this issue over the phone. Thx!
  10. Yea, the process is not that complicated if I could get my fingerprints done but in Chile I can't. I'll try the third option. Thank you!!
  11. Yea, I'm aware it can be requested remotely but as I mentioned in my post there is no way I can get my fingertips done in Chile.:( thanks for the link though.
Hi everyone, Anyone here having trouble on getting their police clearance from a country different than the one you're currently residing? I've done everything in my power to get this certificate from the UAE (Dubai) but none of the police sections in Chile can help me with the fingerprint requirements neither the civil registration department. I've talked several times with the UAE Embassy in Chile and they have no idea how to help me. Actually, I'm more informed on this procedure than they are. Could this be an issue the day of my interview? The one problem I have in Dubai was leaving a small credit card unpaid. For them is a serious matter, even more than it is in other countries but not sure if for the US visa department is. I'd appreciate any comments regarding this topic. Good luck to all.
