  1. Hey I am also waiting for an interview from the Guayaquil Consulate. I am very frustrated because on another forum a lady posted she got an interview for U.S citizen parents 15 days after being DQd (in april). My visa category is IR1 and we were DQd back on January 21st 2023, I contacted the consulate and they told me they have available appointments for July and August but for some reason the NVC won't schedule one. There is no backlog for this category so I am confused because the consulate keeps saying its the NVC's fault and the NVC says its the Consulate.
  2. Yes, thank you for the advice! I am continuing to email them and sending inquiries to NVC. Hopefully, this leads to an appointment soon!
  3. Hi, I have sent multiple, they keep replying with the custom messages "basically wait, we can't predict, blah blah". I contacted the consulate and they told me they have available appointments for July, I asked if they could communicate with NVC and help me schedule. Then they told me they recommend I wait until the NVC schedules me. I don't know what else to do, I feel like this is extremely unfair and not normal procedure. They keep blaming one another and they don't fix the issue.
  4. I have but it's impossible to reach someone we can actually speak to. Last time they emailed me saying that the case is not in the embassy yet. Basically until you don't have an appointment it's still at the NVC. NVC, says they can't predict when we will get an appointment
  5. Hi @sky88 That's awesome, we are also waiting for our IL. We got DQd on January 21st and still waiting. Hopefully we hear back soon! Can you explain your timeline or when you got DQd, I'm confused based off your profile's timeline!
  6. Hello, Does anyone have updates or has received an interview date from the Guayaquil Consulate?
  7. Unfortunately I can't cancel the plans I am currently out of the country already and can't just buy a ticket a week out.
  8. Hi, this is the only forum I found about the topic. I had my interview on January 20th (one day before a trip) I was approved and they said I could do the Oath Ceremony that day, but I wouldn't be able to travel the next day because of the passport. I told the officer that I won't be back until the end of March. Today I checked my USCIS online account and it says I was scheduled (today) for March 2nd for the Oath Ceremony. I called the number on the notice to reschedule and the lady said I have to send a letter, but what the officer told me is something different. I am afraid the letter won't get there on time (before my appointment March 2nd) and I might run into issues later on. Is there anything else I can do?
  9. I've been waiting for my IL since January 21st so a month now. It would be at the Guayaquil-Ecuador embassy. How long is the usual time people wait?
  10. I had my interview today at the Denver office. I travel out of the country on Saturday. She told me I could do the oath the same day and I told her about my travel plans. She said that she will schedule the oath after my trip that way I keep my green card. If they say that the oath will be done that same day tell them about your travel plans and they will schedule for later.
  11. Congratulations! Can you add me to the table. Originally submitted Oct 10th, got RFE Nov 22nd, resubmitted same day. Second RFE Dec 28th, resubmitted same day. Hopefully we finally get DQd
  12. Hi guys, Original submit to NVC Oct 10th, on Nov 22nd I received a message asking for the original birth certificate (RFE). I uploaded the additional document on Nov 22nd, and today I received another RFE saying the original is not legible (rolls eyes) that's why I had originally submitted the digital version (legally this is the accepted form in his country) and the second time I added the original (handwritten in 1994). Today we got another "original copy" from the issuing authority and got it legalized, and submitted. Hopefully they keep they good pace...
  13. Got another RFE, because apparently they can't read the birth certificate. They rejected the firs one which is a digital/updated version and said I needed the other one. I uploaded the other one and because this is an original (1994 copy) they "can't" read it. This is ridiculous, I just want to cry !
