  1. Hey all, got an update due to citizenship application! I submitted N-400 in July 2022 in Cincinnati, got an interview notice for N-400 in mid-January, and then a few days later got an interview notice for I-751 (same place and time, so combo interview).
  2. I guess wildlife, plants should also be able to benefit from air conditioning and public cooling places.
  3. Hey everyone! Congratulations to all on the beginning of the end Filed online: July 15, 2022 NOA1: July 15, 2022 Biometrics reuse: July 15, 2022 Field office: Cincinnati, OH
  4. Just so you know, I am against vaccine mandates. And yes, there is a similarity in a way that both vaccine mandate and abortion ban tell you what to do with your body. However, NOT getting a vaccine is passive; nothing is required from a person who chooses to not get a vaccine. This person doesn't have to go to a clinic to not get a vaccine. And the person doesn't automatically loses the right to not get a vaccine in a period of 6-12-16 weeks. No additional measures (pills/inserts/etc) to prevent the need to not get a vaccine. So, there is no way you will not be able physically to not get a vaccine, it is always on the table. Argument can be made that the consequence of not getting a vaccine might be job loss. But it will not be possible to take an option to lose a job and still get an abortion. I'm actually not disagreeing with you but these are different
  5. I cannot believe that women in US have less control over their bodies than women in Soviet Union. This is medieval. I'm also going to leave this here even though somebody else posted it earlier in other thread. I think it's important for everybody who supports abortion ban to recognize that in this situation woman is given less rights than a corpse.
  6. Google Flights finds multiple flights. Most flights go through Turkey, Qatar, or Egypt. If your wife only needs to renew her external passport ("zagran"), it should be fairly easy to do at the consulate. Pretty sure New York consulate still did external passports renewals but I think only with cash. Even if her passport expires, she still can renew it easily after the expiry date with internal Russian passport or birth certificate.
  7. I feel bad for migrants trapped in the political games. Forests over there must be pretty cold right now. I absolutely despise Lukashenko but I think forcing EU to deal with him is quiet a trick.
  8. Received my new extension letter today I-751 filed on: July 2021 Green card expired on: October 2021 N-400 filed: No New extension letter I-797 received date: 02 November 2021 First 3 of Receipt Number: LIN
  9. No, did you even look at my reply? I looked at the video, and the research is poorly done and poorly presented. Somebody else found the actual CV that was submitted by Dr. Flemming for court https://forbetterscience.files.wordpress.com/2021/09/fleming-cv-redacted.pdf (no mention of PhD!) and a nice detailed post about the person's story https://forbetterscience.com/2021/09/27/cheshire-vs-dr-who/. Anyhow, the guy is a fraud and a felon with paper track of messing with data (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/clc.23047), and the presented "research" fits this picture perfectly.
  10. For a researcher, the reputation matters a lot. One lie ruins the reputation. I read about PhD degrees taken away because of falsified or fabricated data. I honestly opened the link you provided fully prepared to evaluate the methodology, look at the statistical analysis, check the hypothesis. But this research was done so poorly that I could not help but go check this person's biography. So yes, I checked the messenger - of course I did and gosh I'm glad I did! And no, it is way more than accounting error that got him convicted. It is the pattern of behaviour. He falsified data many times in his previous works, and his papers were rejected (not accepted to publication) and retracted (withdrawn from publication) because of him lying many times, again and again. It's a pattern. Re: his PhD, if you follow the comments section in the RetractionWatch article from 2018, this Fleming guy himself came in the comments section to argue with people. But he never answered the simplest question "where did you get your PhD from?". He got MD and JD (from an online school) - that was verified, but he also claims to have a PhD which he could not say where from. If that's the guy you choose to believe... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  11. This Richard M. Fleming? https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2018/09/28/2018-21210/richard-m-fleming-denial-of-hearing-final-debarment-order This one, right? https://archives.fbi.gov/archives/omaha/press-releases/2009/om082009.htm Not one but two articles were devoted to this person on RetractionWatch https://retractionwatch.com/2018/11/13/a-convicted-felon-writes-a-paper-on-hotly-debated-diets-what-could-go-wrong/ (2018) https://retractionwatch.com/2020/05/29/a-convicted-felon-wants-people-to-enroll-in-a-covid-19-clinical-trial-what-could-go-wrong/ (2020) Healthcare fraud, mail fraud, fabricating data for clinical trials? Papers retracted because of made up data and undisclosed conflict of interest? InfoWars as a platform? Every detail in this person's biography screams fraud. And it looks like the guy never earned his PhD that he claims to have? Wow, reading about this person turned out to be truly fascinating! I really appreciate your post! And for the "presentation". It has extremely poor methodology, and the results cannot support Dr. Fleming's conclusions.
  12. Ugh, dogs would be hard. In our physiology class we used frogs but we euthanized them before isolating nerves and muscles.
  13. In FY 2021 NIAID is funding 7299 projects. It is not humanly possible to review in details every single one of them.
  14. Oh yeah, they absolutely have to be very detailed, especially the animal experiments part. Although the ethical part is usually reviewed by the review board of the institution where the experiment is conducted. I suspect ethical standards of conducting research might be lower in Tunisia. Again, I doubt Dr. Fauci ever looked at the protocols. My lab has funding from DOD, and I am sure the Secretary of Defence never even knew about our projects.
