  1. I got my NOA in the mail 6/15 Package sent 5/31 to Chicago Check cashed 6/8 "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" 6/9 Notice Date on the letter is 6/9
  2. Hello, During the time when I was applying for AOS, my US citizen husband was a student so I needed a sponsor for the I-864. Our friend was kind enough to be my sponsor. I am now in the ROC phase of immigration and my husband is now working. I want to free our friend from any I-864 obligations. Is there any way to do that? I am wondering this because our friend may need to sponsor family members in the future and I do not want to have my case affect him in any way. Thanks.
  3. I just sent my application! The evidence I provided is simple and straightforward...house deed, title insurance, car insurance, health insurance, joint tax return transcripts, a few joint bank account statements and some photos. I'm hoping that it will be enough.
  4. I have my K1 AOS interview next month and I have a few questions. 1. My medical exam was last done in my home country in January 2020. Would I have to get a new medical exam done prior to the interview? 2. Since I had already submitted an I-864 Affidavit of Support in my AOS package, do I not need to bring another one to the interview? Thanks everyone!
  5. I entered the US in 2020 on a K1 visa and I am currently going through AOS, no green card yet. I worked for 2 months in Canada for 2020 and did not work in the US. I updated my marital status but changed my date of departure too late (will need to pay back some tax credits). As a non-resident, is there anything I need to do differently when filing taxes?
