  1. Good luck with this, will definitely check back to see how it goes. Turns out I have 2 USCIS letters waiting for me upon my return. First one I thought would be the interview date. The second I had no idea what it was. Now i'm starting to think it will be a GC. We'll find out on Sunday when I home. Edit: On second thought the tracker has not changed from interview scheduled, from what I remember it will change to GC issued. What does your tracker say? Does it show GC issued or Interview? All the best to you all for the new year! Scotty
  2. Thought I would post an update 1. Tried to walk into a USCIS office - No dice. Spoke to a really nice security agent (I know if she could've helped me she would have) - She said there was no one physically there to see me/refer me to. 2. Called USCIS again to pled my case, spoke to a really helpful agent. Turns out they posted me the 24 month extension letter on Tuesday!!! Signed up for informed delivery and got it yesterday. What a stoke of luck! It was meant to be I suppose. (Why they wouldn't just tell me this and have me go through the infopass nonsense I dont know) Well thats the end of that. Thanks everyone
  3. Doing a bit more research, people are suggesting walking into USCIS. Worth a shot! It's only 10 min from my house, plus I'll can get a Starbucks! Hopefully they let me in! *Zombie
  4. Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate you. 3. So I couldn't try and get my ADIT stamp at the London Embassy when I'm there? USCIS have thrown me into a 30day wait period. They don't deem it to be an Emergency or for need of urgent attention. To be seen I would have to provide documentation to show family emergency or money loss etc.
  5. Hi Everyone, Well my week just gets better and better. I needed to submit a FOIA request for my I-94 (they're not online after 5 years) and now I have lost my Extension letter. Called USCIS, 30 days for an info pass appointment?! Thought I would've got something within 72 hours. I'm due to fly out on the 20th, going back to the UK to see family for Christmas (first time since I came here, covid etc) Questions: 1. Can I leave the US on my British Passport without my ext letter? (I guess they don't care when you're leaving) 2. I have copy of the letter, can this help me? (photocopy) 3. Could I visit the London Embassy when I'm there to get my passport stamped so I can come home? 4. Could a tier 2 help me? Is it always 30 days? They deemed it Non Urgent I just want to see my family and stupidly I lost my letter. Thanks, Everyone
  6. Yup, I’m not worried anymore. I was just kinda stressed and hadn’t properly put the work in before I made the post. I now know what all my options/outcomes are now just by searching this forum.
  7. Em, just got my bio appt letter for the 29th. I got it and my heart sank. I think I'm screwed. I didn't think I would get the Bio appt so fast. Some of you may know I'm going through a divorce and there is no way it will be processed in time if they call me to interview by the end of the year. Rip my American life.
  8. Great! Fantastic from everyone. Thank you!!! Meh, it is what it is. Some people are just evil. Worst part was it wasn't just one person but 3 randoms, also one was married with 2 kids, so there is that. Honestly this forum is incredible. I honestly can't thank you guys enough.
  9. Cool, done. I won’t bother writing then. Or maybe if hopefully I get it by the end of the year I’ll write, Thank you.
  10. Meh, it’s taking ages to get divorces finalized because of covid. Should I write to them? I know you can have problems with citizenship down the road if your go is issued without them being aware of the divorce (Incase I don’t go for interview)
  11. Well boys and girls, I’m back. After being married for 3.5 years my partner has been doing the dirty and we’re going through a separation. Sometime next week we should be able to file the paperwork and get the process moving forward for a no fault, nothing contested divorce. I just wonder where this puts me with immigration? The I-751 was filed back in January jointly. Main points: 1. Should I write to uscis advising them we are getting a divorce? - new I-751? 2. If I write to them I will get an rfe, what if the divorce is not finalized. 3.If I don’t have a final divorce decree for interview will I be put in removal proceedings or will I be living on extensions until the divorce is finalized? 4. My case is at NBC, so will likely get an interview. I take it if I can’t get them to play nice it will go against me if they don’t come with me to interview? Thank you all in advance. Wonderful people.
