  1. My parents also have separate service centers (Cali and Vermont). I submitted the exact same documents for both including marriage certificate. I was eventually gonna as this question about joint interview at some point. Thanks for this advice!
  2. Welcome! Yup all online filers should have IOE prefix but if you open up the notice they sent/uploaded under Documents you will see the service center name at the bottom of the page. Also, anybody getting emails everyday about action on the case? I’ve been getting an email every morning since I filed without any update. I’m not expecting any and wasn’t gonna look before at least 4-6 months but these emails keep reminding me lol
  3. Hey! Yes both my cases are showing 2 months although one of them (CSC) moved to “Actively being reviewed” but the other (VSC) is still showing “USCIS received.” I read a few Reddit posts about what this new myProgress tab is and most people say they didn’t see a change in their timeline and it took the full 12-14 months as it says on the Processing Times website but a handful of them had applications approved within 2-6 months so it’s all luck I guess haha
  4. Hello! Thanks for starting a thread! I just applied for my mum and dad 10/9. They got California and Vermont service centers assigned.
  5. Congratulations! keep an eye on your USCIS Tracker app or the website whatever you use. Generally it’s scheduled within 6 weeks of the interview and notice is sent at least 30 days out from what the IO told me. Maybe +/- 2 weeks depending on the city/state I would think.
  6. Oh okay gotcha! That sucks that they didn't have documents in order after they sent interview notices. Wishing the best for you!!
  7. Hey guys, got approved at my interview today! Arrived on time for appt at 1:15pm. Columbus Field Office. Took about 15 mins. IO asked for GC, DL, Passport, put me under oath asked when I got married, if still married, if my wife lives with me, asked me to describe what is oath of allegiance. Tests: Read: What do we pay to the government? Write: We pay taxes. Civic: Q1: Who was the first president? Q2: What does "rule of law" mean? Q3: How many years does a Senator serve per term? Q4: How many years does a President serve per term? Q:5 Who is the command in chief of the military? Q6: Name one Native American tribe. Next, Yes/No questions. We asked each other some small talk questions along the way and that was it. She gave me a sheet of paper that said she's approving the application and that Oath will be scheduled at a separate location and notice will be sent. She said if no questions, I'm good to go. 10 minutes after leaving: "Oath ceremony will be scheduled" 1 hour after leaving: "Oath ceremony notice was mailed" Updated my timeline and 'signature' for more info. Best of luck to everyone!
  8. Hey @applerose sorry to hear that. This is probably a typo on VJ but your citizenship timeline says your interview was scheduled for 12/01 but you said you went today? Hopefully you didn’t confuse the dates, unlikely but just I was just wondering. Hopefully it gets sorted quickly for you 🤞🏽
  9. It’s almost impossible to guess when or if you’ll need biometrics done. If you haven’t had biometrics done by USCIS (inside the country) and only in a US consulate, it’s almost guaranteed you’ll need an appointment. Otherwise, if you do get a reuse it may be the same day as you submit or within the first week from what I’m seeing. If you don’t, then it’s anyone’s guess how long it might take for you to get an appointment notice. Let’s say you do get it, I’ve seen a trend of getting an appointment notice within 1-2 months of applying and the appointment date is within 1 month of the notice. It’s really hard to make any guesses with USCIS to be honest. Apologies if this is not helpful. I know a few people here on VJ and some friends from Boston who’ve applied this year and most got biometrics reuse right away after applying.
  10. Hi! if you’re submitting online, then it will specifically ask you for specific documents in their own sections like: copy of LPR card, marriage certificate, USC Spouse’s birth certificate, if you’re a male and fulfill the criteria, then proof of selective service registration, and tax documents. Apart from this, there is an additional supporting documents section where you can add whatever. I added: our joint lease agreement, spouse’s US passport bio page, one debit card statement PDF since 01/2021, and one credit card statement PDF since 01/2021, where we have joint ownership. Also filing under 3 year rule! Hope this helps! Good luck!
  11. Thanks! Just came across this last night as I was browsing VJ. So looks like all that stuff with bonafide marriage proof and tens of pages worth of personal stuff and all is not needed for N-400. Just some financial and tax documents etc. This seems easy enough if I can ever get into the IRS transcripts account. That’s the only thing I’m having issues with currently. Also, odd that it doesn’t say photographs are optional on that page there I thought it was only required if you’re outside the country. Appreciate your response btw!
  12. Yeah I’m having issues with verification too. Email came through fine but I put my phone number in without dashes or anything and it says “can’t be verified” some people have suggested using xxx-xxx-xxxx format with dashes and some have said I need to send a text to IRS short-code 77958 to opt-in for password service before they can send a text so I did that. But right now my account creation is locked for 24 hours because I tried 3 times already. Didn’t know there was a limit on there. I’ll try again tonight having done a couple of those suggestions and see how it goes. Thanks for your response!
