You are awesome!

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Jamaican men in my opinion come in two types.

Dogs and gentlemen.

Nothing in between.

The Gentleman is loyal, loving caring and proud. He will fight to the death for his woman and his family. He is respectful, jealous perhaps but never controlling.

He will work to the death for his family, never complaining.

He is a proud man, HE wants to provide for his family, in fact he feels almost less of a man if he can't.

He can be suprisingly stubborn about accepting money from his woman because he feels the man should provide.

He is appreciative of gifts, but refuses to allow his woman to shower him with them.

He loves and respects his woman, never tries to control or dictate her actions.

His clothes are clean, but does not require name brands.

The Dog pretends to be a gentleman.

He claims not to want to leave Jamaica, but quickly allows himself to be 'convinced'.

He professes his undying love for you at the speed of lightning.

He usually has a past girlfriend abroad.

He wants to marry you from almost the second he laid eyes on you, yet none of his Jamaican girlfriends were good enough apparently.

He wants all the latest fashions from abroad to match his upscale cellphone.

He is mightily unlucky, every week some calamity requiring money happens.

He may play at protesting he'll pay you back or you're doing too much, but happily takes anything offered.

He introduces you to his family in days, tells you they love you as much as he does.

When he talks to you, he makes sure he tells you they're asking after you, all to enmesh you further in his web of deceit.

When he comes to the USA, he's content to be taken care of while he takes it easy.

Or if he works, none of his money seems to reach the household kitty!

Are you dating the Dog dressed as gentleman?

Think carefully ladies....

Some of it I agree on. Some not. I think there are exceptions to everything.

Oh, definately, Gill.

My dispute is that just cause a man displays some of these behaviors, it doesn't make him a dog. Actually, same holds true for not being a dog. It's hard to sum someone up in just a few characteristics.

I agree Jomo. I honestly think it's such a personal choice...now my ex was a Dog in my eyes...but in other girls eyes he may be a Gentleman...because the guys she met before were worse! It really depends upon what a woman is willing to accept and overlook.

At least in my opinion.

Mr Jengles asked for one thing a portable dvd player because sometimes he was stuck in the Mo bay airport parking lot for hours. I bought it for him and he used it to play movies for the tourists on the bus ride to Ochi. He wanted a cellphone and sent me the money western union. that was it.

I would constantly ask him if he wanted anything and the answer was consisently no. No clothes believe me I tried. He could really care less about clothes. No money. I offered to bring his mother something from here and she asked a dress. He only heard her asking for the dress didn't know I offered and told her off. I buy nice stuff for holidays.

He has this mentality that the woman stays home and the man works. He is SLOOOOWLY getting into the team thing.

He is a gentleman.
