I met my SO quite a few years ago on a gaming message board of all things. At first, we didn't particularly care for each other, but as time went on, she warmed up to me. I made a special effort of getting to know her, and the relationship just sort of took off from there. At it first it was communicating through the board and chat rooms, then instant messenger programs and finally over the phone.

We met while playing an online text-based game with a substantial, active chat community. Chatted for over a year before we met in person. Three years later, here we are.

We met on "kiss.com" (which is now "match.com") back in 2003. I reluctantly "allowed" people to contact me from outside of the area where I lived, and my husband was the first person to contact me. I didn't want to meet people who lived in the U.S. for the obvious reasons, but once we met in person..... that was it!!!!! All the other Canadian men I met didn't work out.

We were both looking for a permanent relationship at the time and didn't know how else to meet people our age.

Wellllll.....we met on yahoo chat conference, where his friend introduced us to each other.

First I was interested in his friend...he (his friend) didn't care about me....then I lost interest and had other boyfriends...then his friend started caring about me....as I said...my interest was GONE...hehehe...my fiance and I kept chatting with each other and our interest in each other grew and grew, but we never went a step further, because he didn't want to hmmmm 'hurt' his friend or whatever....after 7 months of talking (toooooooo long for my taste  ) he FINALLY decided to be selfish and 'not care' about his friend and here we are...I am going to marry my Mr.Right in something over a month YAYYYYYYYY....I couldn't be happier!!!

Message board. Thought he was funny. He thought I was funny. He sent me a PM regarding something or other and we started sending intermittent ones back and forth. Then one day (after a couple of months) we gave each other our MSN addys. Started chatting - just as friends and things developed from there.
