Form OF-167 and DS-230 in packet 3

I'm trying to put together the forms for packet 3 while we wait for it to be issued out of the Accra consulate. (Trying to assemble things ahead of time.)

On the Warsaw checklist linked to from VJ (at least I think that's where I saw it), there is a call for form OF-167. I can't seem to find this form on VJ example forms.

Does anyone know what this is?

Also, does DS-230 required for fiance K visas or is that for just K-3s? It asks for info I would assume you can't provide until after you (the fiance) are in the U.S.

Thanks! My head is spinning in form land.

OF-167 is the information form some consulates use to prove financial support. It's not a form as much as a list of what to provide. If your consulate requires it, they'll include it in your packet -- here's a copy from the CDJ consulate: http://usembassy.state.gov/CiudadJuarez/wwwfof167.pdf

DS-230 appears to be for immigrant visas so it doesn't apply to a K1.

Double check your consulate web site, as the DS-230 is required for the K1 in ours. However only part 1 is required, not part 2 in the P3 package you will be getting.

I'm doing the K1 too. Also was advised to fill out Part 1 of DS 230. Am very confused because it asks for "SPOUSE" information, but we are not married (yet). Do we leave it as "N/A" or fill in with my information (as fiancee)? I'm more concerned that the consulate would have a fit over completed forms, automatically assuming we are married (we're not).

Thanks.

If you don't have a spouse, the answer is "none". The DS 230 is used for fiance and spouse.
