So what are you all up to for New Year's Eve?

We will stay home, we don't normally go out, although we have done that before

Going to see a concert in Philadelphia perhaps: Gogol Bordello.

Then MAYBE off to my husbands coworkers house for a party. Though I'd rather not go to that because I find the guy snobby and full of himself but maybe if I have enough drinks he will become entertaining.

But again, these plans are so up in the air.

I did that for 1999/2000 new years. It was nuts. Every bar in Manhatten had a $100-$300 cover charge

This year, new years kind of snuck up on me. I just didn't think about it until yesterday when I got invited to a party by one of my co-workers. Unfortunately, he's just out of university, so I think I'll skip it. I just can't party like a 23 year old anymore. My keg stand days are over.

I am spending my first new year's eve as a wife at home with my hubby... we're going to cook a nice dinner and eat by candlelight then watch ####### Clark which is my tradition.... Quiet, cheap and romantic night home!!

Depends if we can find a babysitter. If so, we have been invited to a party. If not, we'll probably hit the Thai restaurant for dinner and then go home and watch tv. Either option sounds fine to me.

One of the managers at our data center used to walk the roof of the data center after New Year's eve and would find enough spent bullets to fill a pickle jar

Chris and I will be staying in, just the two of us. Maybe buy a bottle of champagne. My mom is getting in the next day, so I can see us probably cleaning the house clear up until the next day.

We had no plans and last week or two I asked my sweetie if he could ask his peops what they were all doing.

And he did.

We got an invitation for a house party at one of his (sailing) crew-mates homes, and then a week later another sailorette emailed with an invitation to a house party at her home.

Hmmm...I'd like to go to both...well, that is if I wasn't feeling so anti-social.

I am feeling exhausted and am all too happy to start the new year when the "holidays' energy" calms down...like in a week of so.

nah.. no bars for us.. just some sightseeing me thinks.. staying as far away from Times Square as possible.. but we my just stay in CT too.. we'll see
