I just submitted my I-129F petition to Vermont yesterday via DHL. Waiting for proof of receipt today. :) I thought I'd get the conversation started for those joining me on the journey this month. I look forward to sharing stories along the way.

My fiance is Indian and resides in Bangalore. We got engaged on 7/30/08 and I just returned from India on Monday. This site has been really fantastic in helping me feel confident that I can do this process on my own and with the great assistance and advice of the community here.

Best of luck to all filing in August. Here we go and may it be a smooth ride for all.

Mark, you might want to alter the title of your thread to incorporate the fact that you're filing with Vermont (there is an August thread dedicated to CSC filers just below this one!!).

Hi Michelle. Welcome aboard the Aug/Vermont/K1 thread. :thumbs: My petition package arrived in Vermont on Wed morning according to DHL tracking, so I guess the next step is to wait and see when the check will clear and to receive official notification that from Vermont that it was received. What is most important for me to know right now that everything has been submitted correctly and that it is just then a waiting game for it to move through the processing stages.

It's been less than a week since I returned from India and I am not sure how I'm gonna survive months and months and months of waiting to see my fiance again. I really don't know how so many do it. I'm going to investigate taking an assignment with my company in India. Even if it is for a couple of years at least I'll be with her. Just seems like nonsense to put people through such a lengthy and emotionally draining process because of where a person was born. Sorry..venting I know. :)

Ok, back to watching the Olympics.

wishing us all a speedy process of KI-VISA...i notice VSC is slow this time as until now i dont hear any feedback from them about my package i sent it last june/08 ...still waiting....hoping we both can hear good news this week...

6/26/08:resent the 1-129f package to VSC

8/21/08:received NOA1 in the mail,yeyeyeh i was relief after the long period of waiting

1/28/09:NOA2 received ...in 161 days from NOA1

2/10/09:received appointment letter from USEM

3/11 - 12 : MEDICAL -- passed

3/30/09: INTERVIEW -- APPROVED

4/02/09:VISA deliver at home at 2:45 pm

5/28/09:SSN arrived after less than 1 week from filling.

6/01/09:Wedding day.[/color]

I hope you had a wonderful time with your sweetheart?! I understand your frustration about this process, but try to keep your self busy as much as you can! That’s what I try to do! Of course you will have up and downs true this journey, but try to think positive when those days will come along!

No need to be sorry we all need vent sometimes, that is why we are here for to give support to each other!

Our petition was FINALLY sent today.

:dance:

It's been sitting on my fiancee's desk since JUNE... because his boss is shitty and hasn't paid him for months (we're working on taking this further with him). Luckily, a family member let him borrow some money to send the packet.

So we'll hopefully be getting notification of it arriving tomorrow evening and then we wait for our NOA1.
