Packet 3 forms questions

Now that our file has been put in the mail to the London embassy we are getting all of the required forms ready so that she can send them as soon as packet 3 arrives. I have three questions about the forms that hopefully some of you who have gone through the process can answer.

First question- The DS-156K form states that several documents (birth certificates, marriage certificates, police certificates, etc.) must be submitted with the application. But the IV-15 checklist says to gather the forms & NOT send them to the embassy. Should these documents be sent with the packet 3 forms?

Second question- The IV-15 asks for marriage certificates & divorce decrees for previous marriages. Does this only apply to the beneficiary, or is it for the petitioner as well?

Third question- Should she send the completed (but unsigned) DS-230I Part II form to the embassy with the packet 3 forms, or just bring it with her to the interview?

I'm sure these questions have been answered before but I searched & couldn't find the info. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

The documents shouldn't be sent to the embassy. they should just be taken to the interview with you.

Second question- The IV-15 asks for marriage certificates & divorce decrees for previous marriages. Does this only apply to the beneficiary, or is it for the petitioner as well? I'm not sure. I'd think its just for the beneficiary because the petitioner had to send theirs in with the I-129F

Third question- Should she send the completed (but unsigned) DS-230I Part II form to the embassy with the packet 3 forms, or just bring it with her to the interview? all the forms are sent to the embassy just the documents are taken to the interview

I'm sure these questions have been answered before but I searched & couldn't find the info. Thanks in advance for any feedback!

London Embassy does not send the forms with packet 3 (was case for me anyways)so she can start filing the forms and printing them .....Just a head up

My fiance printed all four pages (last two pages are blank) and mailed all 4 in. If they want him to sign those at the embassy, they are there. If they don't need them, they can throw them away.

The first page of Packet 3 is your personal information page and a letter. This is the 2nd page of the Packet 3. It tells at the bottom STEP ONE (what to send back). The next page starts with STEP TWO which is the checklist of what to bring with you. Read it straight from the horses mouth. London IV15 April 2008

Just to make sure I am totally clear...Form DS-156 is sent in duplicate but not signed, & DS-156K is a single copy but the beneficiary does sign it-correct?

One more thing-my fiancee's 11-year-old son is immigrating with her (K2). I know each of the forms has to be completed separately for him-but who signs them? Does he sign them or his mother?

There is a checklist for children included and everything is the same as for the Mom, passport, birth certificate, photos, affidavit of support, etc. He doesn't need a police certificate because he's not 16. BUT there is the Custody Decree which reads (quote from Children's checklist):

Custody Decree

. If you are applying for a visa for your children by a previous marriage and if a court has previously restricted your custody of these children, you should present proof that you have been awarded custody by the court for the children and that they may be taken out of the United Kingdom.

DS-156K Has to be signed? the only place looking for a signature on that form is underneath the line saying (Do not write below this line),

Isn't it only DS-230 Part I that needs signed? I'm so confused just wanted to double check.

I was wrong above. That DS 156K was the form that the interview guy handed my fiance to write my full name on, take the oath, and sign there. That would be the second time you are called to a window in London. The DS-156, the barcode form, has a place to sign after you have printed it. Sorry for the confusion.

Ok from the looks of this form then Gareth would just have to complete all the forms we got from you correct Nichole? He doesn't need to send copy of NOA2 or police record of any of that along with these forms? He just needs all that for the interview itself correct? Just trying to get super clear info on what he actually NEEDS to send in for his packet 3....THANKS!!!

Nevermind think I sorted it all out in my head Now to be patient and wait for LND number haha.....
