You can briefly state how you first met and then elaborate on when you met in person. Make sure the details that you will put will collaborate on your evidences like the travel arrangement, etc.

July 31, 2007 - AOS Approved - 57 days - Without an Interview!

Aug 06, 2007 - Received Green Card in the mail today!

Jan 8, 2009 @ 8:18PM - Our son was born tonight !!

I-751 - Remove Conditions

July 11, 2009 - Certified Mail to VSC I-751 Package

July 14, 2009 - Check cleared bank

July 20, 2009 - NOA1 & 1 yr extension - Receipt date is July 14. Case# assigned

Sept 1, 2009 - Biometrics completed

Nov 25, 2009 - I-751 is approved. No Interview.

Dec 14, 2009 - 10yr Green Card arrived !

Thanks everyone...I guess I am making it harder then it is. See when we first "officially" met I was married and it wasn't until some years later that we we started dating.

Your marital status makes no difference as to when you met your fiancee.

u are not alone dillon..if I ever decide to file, I have that same lil pesky scenario.. I met my friend when I was still "officially" married but like everyone says, hopefully all that is just blown up in our on minds.. good luck..hey question.. y did u opt against the spouse visa this time??

Keep it short and sweet. No need for a lot of detail. All I put was Met in person from Sept.3, 2006 to Sept.10, 2006 after communicating for months over the internet. The dates matched my passport stamps, airline tickets, and hotel receipt.

very true, date have to match when you met in person. 2 sentences or so, but less than 100 words should do it... keep it simple!! good luck!!!
