Check out this thread: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...0&p=1635582

Somebody figured out a way to track k-1 applications using DHL. In the thread above there is an attachment with instructions on how to track the cases the NVC sends out.

I also posted my own instructions in that thread.

I download the info from DHL, put it into Excel, sort it, and put into a PDF.

Since there are no names, you won't know if the case going to your embassy is actually yours, so I don't know if this helps us or just to be able to see if possible your case is being sent.

Where do you go to get this information? Can you send me the link?

Check out this thread for info: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry1631247

To get the shipments for a particular day, search for reference with the previous day's date. For example, if you wanted yesterday's (3/6) shipments, you would search for reference: EXP 05 MAR 2008A

That's the only field you need to fill in or change.

Hello~

Is there a way to get the tracking number from the NVC to determine if the package sent was ours? Or are we just guessing which package is ours? I called the NVC and they confirmed they had received it but that was all the info they would give me and I emailed them and all I got was an automated response saying it would be answered in the order received.

Thanks--just trying to find out the tricks around here!

Micki

PS thanks for all the work compiling these lists! You are awesome.

PS thanks for all the work compiling these lists! You are awesome.

No problem, it really is just a guessing game. But they are educated guesses. If you can speak to an NVC live person, they can tell you exactly what day yours left. You can then check to see if there was a package to your embassy that day. If so, there's a high probability that it's yours. You should also check the day before and after, one of those could be yours also, sometimes NVC isn't exact.

NVC can't tel you anymore until it's sent out, then they can tell you when it shipped. Before that there is nothing more to say, they are processing it. Try to get a live person. The automated message still says "We have no record of your case number" for ours.

I was told ours was sent 3/10. There was a shipment to our embassy on 3/10, nothing the day before or after. So I'm 99.9995% sure that I'm tracking our case.

I tried to get NVC to give me a tracking number, but she said that they are shipped in boxes, so they don't have tracking numbers (BIG FAT LIE! ). Then she said that she wouldn't be able to give it to me even if she had it (that's TRUE :innocent: ).

How funny would it be if I said... is the tracking number xxxxxxxxxx? :o:P
