K-2 Follow-to-Join

Anyone know what forms/documents are needed for the interview for a K-2 Follow-to-join at USEM? Hoping to find someone that might have already had a child that followed later and can help.

My mother-in-law is there in the Phils and will accompany my step-daughter, but she is confused and has difficulty in figuring it all out even with the Packet 4. I thnk its confusing too as Packet 4 is designed for the K-1 and not really specific to the K-2 alone. Here's the forms/docs I am pretty sure about:

DS-156

DS-157 (with bank validation of visa fee payment)

I-134 (with associated income tax, W-2s, etc.)

Copy of our Marriage Certificate

Copy of our Divorce/Annullment papers from previous marriage

Copy of the birth cert. of me, my wife, and my step-daughter

2X2 photos

Passport

Does she need proof of meeting? Proof of support like receipts of remittance?

Any help from someone that has done this before would be much appreciated.

Proof of meeting was established with the I-129F petition. Proof of support is not required. What is required is a complete set of visa application documents.

YMMV

Thanks Roy and Yazi....I was hoping there was a follow-to-join from Manila that might be around too, but I think everyone is pointing me in a good direction.

Thanks everyone for all the help!

  • 4 weeks later...

so, the original support forms with tax records, bank statements and the like, are not required for the Follow to Join interview for the kids?

their mother came here last august and we are having the interview next week in Bogota for the kids.

all I need are their passports, medical/clinic forms, DAS ingress/egress records, birth/batismal certificates and the DS 230, DS 156 , photos, ect...but no refiling of orginal support forms like the I-134 or I-864?

the kids are under the age of 16.

We are just doing this for my wife's daughters, and the embassy (Bangkok Thailand) stated I need to submit a new I-134 for each daughter with all the other documents.

I don't kow if different embassies have different reqirements.
