I called the USEM today and asked about the early medical and the packet. He confirmed that its ok to have the medical even more than a month before your scheduled interview. Medical Exam Results are VALID for 6 MONTHS. I also asked about going to St Lukes without the appointment letter and yes, like most of vj members tell us, just PRINT the APPOINTMENT schedule ONLINE and go to SLEC and tell them that you wish to have the early medical and that you will pick up your K1 packet there.

He told me to just bring the following:

1. payment for the examinations

2. 2x2 picture with white background (he told me to prepare around 6 just to be sure)

3. online visaappointment schedule printed.

Thats all. Did he give me the correct information?:blink::blink:

YES his right! but if your not contented u can go there in slec and directly go to window G. asked them if u can pick up your packet. then u can start your medical. why they ask your visa appointment? just because they will attach it in your form. so even no packet u can still use the schedule onlne.

can i have the link where we can print the appointment???? thanks

click here for you to check your schedules online

I just got my packet.

Which one is the appointment letter I need to bring to SLEC? ( I assume its really in a letter form! So it must be the one with Dear Ms... )

Will these forms enclosed in the packet be the ones to use or its advisable to download them online?

Thank you VJ's

Thank you VJ's

Yes, the appointment letter is addressed to Dear Ms. or Mrs.

You will need two copies of the DS-156 and two copies of the DS-157 forms. The DS-156 needs to be downloaded from online to get the barcode and I just printed two copies. The DS-157 can be downloaded online, but the bank will give you a DS-157 with receipt on back for paying the K visa fee of $131. You can either turn in one DS-157 form filled out and the bank DS-157 filled out or attach the bank copy to one of two DS-157 forms filled out.

As the petitioner, I found it easier to fill out the I-134 online. It saves the beneficiary from having to mail the I-134 form.

Hope this helps
