Unique Case ... What would they mean by "strong ties" ?

Hey, My case is UNIQUE, Not the usual what do they mean by strong ties.

So 3 years ago I left Libya due to the war, and have been attending school in Bosnia ever since. This is my final year and soon I'll be applying to US Colleges. My father is still in Libya, but I'm here in for education (And will return to libya to work for my fathers firm after college).

1) I have a Bosnian Passport, by "Strong ties", would thy mean LIBYA or Bosnia? We have an apartment here, but my dad's company and work is in Libya (and no, we can't own a house in Libya because we're foreigners).

2) If I had a Serbian passport, would my "Strong ties to country" mean SERBIA?

Thanks, just a bit worried that this Libya-war case might mess up my chance, I have all the finances I need and will have acceptance letter and such.

Bosnia, but I've been born and lived in Libya for 14-15 years (and only 2-3 years in Bosnia , stated the reason), so I must have strong ties to BOSNIA?

I just have an apartment here, my father's company is in Libya and I'd move there after COllege...

Then why not apply with your Libyan passport?

It's actually strong ties to ANY country outside the U.S. -- it depends on where you have those ties. What the visa officer is looking for is all the reasons you have to leave the US to go anywhere else as opposed to staying in the U.S.

if you are chasing a student visa for the USA, if you prove up financials, you should be ok.

At the moment, you are a displaced Libyan with other passport.

Libyan passports are only given to Arabs & Libyans, which I am not one... there is no possible way for me to get one.

I'm just worried about getting denied because of no strong ties, I cna prove all financials and stuff.

Why would U not get a passport there if U were born there

werew your parents both illegal in Libya at birth?. I know in the Bahamas

U cant get one until age 18 if both parents happen to be there illegal.

Some countries don't allow you to be a citizen even if you are born there, if your parents aren't citizens of that country or as stated above.
