My wife applied for N400 while on a temporary permanent resident card (green card with 2 year restriction because we were married less than 2 years when we got it). We had applied for the removal of restrictions, but it's pending and she has an expired green card but a letter an extension of 48 months while they processed it.

She had her N400 interview 2 weeks ago, and then had to fly home unexpectedly because her father was hospitalized. I am going as well and we aren't coming back until late May, and yesterday I got a letter in the mail saying her N400 was approved and the oath is May 10. Today I got another letter saying her I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence was finally approved. I have a few questions...

1. What is her process for getting back into the country? She has an expired green card. Does she show the N400 approval? The 4 year extension for the I-751? The I-751 approval?

2. If we request to postpone the oath (the official letter says "if you cannot come to this ceremony, return this notice immediately with a written explanation why"). Can I send that? Does it have to be signed by her? The letter is here and she is in another country with the ceremony just 2 weeks away.

Hello yall!

I have applied for N400 and after called military lined and asked for expedite procedure under Chapter 319(b). As I have never requested expedite case i have question:

1.They told me that I will be getting a call from T2 in next 7 days. What T2 agent will tell me? Will they tell me if my case is approved or not?

2. How long expedite cases for N400 approx. take? We will be leaving U.S in July and I am not sure if i can get an interview date before that.

I moved to the US from Canada after marrying a US citizen back in 2015. I'm currently a green card holder. I didn't change my name on anything at that time, including my immigration documents, drivers license and social security card, nor my Canadian passport.

I'm not at a point where I'd like to take my husbands name officially but i'm so lost on where to even begin. I'm open to becoming a US citizen and changing my name for immigration purposes at that time, but do i need to do anything at a local point?

I signed my name on my marriage certificate as my maiden name. Where do i even begin?

And I worry to about not being able to travel during this potentially long processing period.

Hey guys. How long after your wedding did you file the I-130 and I-485? Obviously we plan on completing the process as soon as possible, but I am just trying to figure out if there is an official post-marriage deadline for doing this. Thanks for your help.

Recently married and looking to sponsor wife and step daughter.

step daughter is 9 years old.

Will I need to file two I-130 s or is there a way for derivative on 1 form.

both have legal entry with visa.
